Welcome! :) On this blog you will find stories, how i play and videos created with The Sims 4, but also a few projects from older game versions can be found in the Archive. The old TS3 stories have their own blogs. Most long going stories have a main page with index of updates.

Check out Simmerville's Youtube channel!

I'm no longer on Tumblr! I refused to give all their 3rd parties unlimited access to my computer. Link still works, but no updates.

As Days Go By - Year 213 - Picture Post

So, here's another update from my TS4 game. The movie series As Sims Go By is a little delayed, because I need to rush through a couple years first. Soon getting there, though!

At Upperton, Gloomville (not Uptown as the picture says... sorry), elderly Fiona Crumpleton finds joy in smalltalking with the buttler. She was always shy, and perhaps that's why she used to be feared as a journalist, as hardly anyone knew her well or had a chance to bribe her.

She won't be around for much longer. Her husband passed away long ago.

Her son Charloman settled with the region's wealthiest woman, and her daughter Charlotta Mu. Crumpleton already took over this house.

Charlotta has just started piano playing, she isn't really interested, but in those upper networks it's not a bad skill at all. It currently sounds horrible, and the two cats of the house never frequent 2nd floor when Charlotta is practicing.

Over at Willow Field, still Gloomville (aka Willow Creek), is the Hicks house. Originally 3 siblings moved in here, the oldest guy moved out long ago, while both Adrian and Ella stayed and are both adults and still single. I think Adrian used to be attracted by the married Ochana Mox across the street, but that's long ago.

Adrian never got himself a proper job, while Ella makes a living from fixing computers and hacking. The dog Brutus is Ella's, and it's mostly neglected.

These days Adrian has been dating a city girl, Nadia Meshram.

To get away from Ella, they had some food at Muggerdale's old market. This place has hardly changed over the past 100 years. Farmers and artists still come here every Saturday year round to sell their stuff. The simple outdoor serving is a recent addition, and today it did not work - for some reason no guests got their food.

Nadia rents a flat at Spice Market. They decided it's time Adrian leaves his sister and moves in with Nadia. He is 63, she is 56. If they want kids, they should rush it a bit...

In Crestville, Newcrest we find one of the wealthiest households. Corinne Dougham is head of the house, she married Charloman Au. Crumpleton some time ago. They have triplets, two boys and one girl.

It sure is demanding looking after 3 toddlers, especially when neither of the parents are all that interested in family stuff. Corinne prefer focusing on her business, the Newcrest Shopping Mall, and Charloman is both a business man and Newcrest's representative to the Regiobn 12 Council.

Still, Charloman is aware that well raised kids will help them greatly in the future, so he takes a few vacation days to help. They even gave the buttler a couple years off in order to focus a little on family life, and with the help from the Maid, they just about mange to deal with everything.

So, let's move to the city! I never before visited the Nerdy festival in the Fashion District, and yay did I like it!

The occasion was August (Clump) Gupta getting a phone call from his niece Sabrina (Clump) Grossing, who moved to Brindleton Bay last year. She wanted to hang out with her uncle August at this festival.

Exploring space, how clever! I must remember to send my scientists to this festival!

Still focusing on the Gupta household. They reside a huge apartment in the Arts Quarter of San Myshuno. Myra Gupta is a food critics, she is known for telling the truth. Myra and August are both in their late adult years, and while son Donald is a teen, daughter Dora just reached young adult.

She is wearing a floral red dress in the above picture. She is curious to start her own life, because the family rents the apartment, she intends to find her own place soon. She invited neighbor Salim Benali to join her for a burger meal at Civic Cliff, which is located in Crestville, Newcrest. The net income from this place goes right into the pockets of the von Kaching family, who are the owners.

This days seems to be special. There is a heavy thunderstorm outside...

... but, wait - why is the guest indoor being struck by lightning?

And why is Dora Gupta opening her umbrella at the table?

And why is a guest insisting on being served outdoors while she obviously was struck by lightning and the rain is still pouring down? The roof is complete, the walls are complete, and I don't find any good reason for guests inside the restaurant acting as if they were outside. Crazy!

Dora Gupta did not aim for a proper job yet. All through her teen years she practiced DJ-ing, and now she wants to check out whether she can make some money from it. She takes shifts at a San Myshuno lounge, and also joined a relevant group with base in Windenburg.

Over at Brindleton Bay's Whiskermans Wharf, sweet Catrina Lunx celebrates her birthday. She invited over the Cat Club which includes local Alma Sutton and Ochana Mox from Gloomville.

Catarina is still single, and now that she reaches the adult stage, it's time to decide if she should find a partner, or simply spend the rest of her life alone with her many cats. If Catarina can't have kids, her cats sure can!

Not far from Whiskermans Wharf lives Fanny Silverbone at Sable Square.

Fanny has resided in Brindleton Bay for a couple years now, and she likes it here. The plan is still to breed dogs for sale, but this far she has mostly made a living from painting. She plans to breed her two Dalmatians any day now.

Fanny's good friend is Bjorn Bjergsen who lives in Windenburg. He is a Hood Contact there, and does encourage Fanny to look into local politics. She is in doubt, but Bjorn talks her into nominating herself for Sable Square's Hood Contact, and just see where it might take her when the main election is in January year 215. She can work locally even if she doesn't aim for the Region 12 Council.

Bjorn is happily married, so he does normally not hang out with Jenny at nights. She go to a local bar, but still has not met a man she wants to share life with. Breeding dogs first, then maybe look harder for a man...

Back in Muggerdale, Gloomville, the semi criminal Schwaini household has been through great changes as Cheyenne and Rambo had twins!

They are toddlers by now, and old Miri Schwaini (90) thinks it's way too noisy. He blames it on their 2 cats needing some silence, but they all understands that the old man thinks it's too much. Rambo might ask his sister Sculla, who moved to San Myshuno last year, if their dad can move in with her.

Rambo just celebrated his adult birthday. He is 51 while Cheyenne is 58. I don't know the age of the furry table center piece... :)

The toddlers were named Cathie and Phiri. This poor household can't afford new toddler beds, but luckily there is a couple armchairs in the house.

This year is heading for Winter. I must remember to play my farming sims during Summer and Fall, not in Winter. At Mugger Farm they grow several species, but Winter is always quite boring.

Alan Mugger will leave this farm as soon as Miranda Mox becomes young adult. They have no choice but settling outside Gloomville. The moving has to wait until Alan's sister Janet grows up to take care of their family farm herself. She is still a teenager this year, but will grow up next year!

Alan has located an available farm with farm rights at Brindleton Bay. With some luck it will still be vacant next year, but someone else might grab it, too!

Last day of Fall has traditions in this region.

Everywhere the piles of leaves will be put to fire this very night. It's been a holiday for as long as sims can remember, but because it happens in the night, no schools or workplaces do close. It's normally the Hood Contact's responsibility to make sure that most piles are burnt on this night, but most families take pride in burning at least one pile.

At Dusty Turf, Oasis Springs, Councillor Josue E. Rosewood finds this particular tradition boring. Being the Hood Contact his duty is to burn piles that nobody else burn. In Oasis Springs it seems that piles take longer to burn, this job is quite time consuming. And - so boring...

At Upperton, Gloomville Hugo Co. Bootwig finds himself doing more and more chores around the house.

His mother, Constanza B. Bootwig, keeps telling their neighbors about their butler and maid, but truth is that Hugo is doing most of those chores. His Scientist career is moving so slowly because he hardly get time to practice at the lab.

Constanza also sends Hugo out to burn leaf piles on the last day of Fall. Hugo protested and said that if they don't do it, the Hood Contact Mr Bud von Kaching will handle those piles. Then Constanza replied that Hugo could simply pretend that he is the Hood Contact... argh, Hugo is so tired of all this battle to join the upper class!

Across the street is the glorious von Kaching house. Fiona and Bud always had a blooming love life, they were never cheating and hardly ever quarreled. At least that is the appearance they managed to keep through all these years.

Today they got a visitor, it's Malcolm Landgraab who traveled all the way from Oasis Springs. I think he came to have a word with Bud, who is on the Region 12 Council, but Malcolm Landgraab also had a talk about horse riding with their teen daughter Aili.

Aili von Cashing will grow up next year, and her older brother Edward Be. is set to take over this lovely house. Still, Aili has taken on some responsibility on behalf of the family, like today when the former butler signed off, and a new butler was introduced to the family. Aili never liked their butlers, maybe that's why she finds joy in instructing the new one?

In this household there also lives a famous painter, Vince Remerez. Rose runs a gallery in Newcrest, and she also leads a group for painters. She likes to build her reputation, and having Vince staying with them for at least 15 years sure is not a bad subject for her small talking.

Rose had Vince paint her with her lovely dog, Simelangelo.

Vince Remerez has a private life that definitely does not depend on the von Cashing family. He hamngs out with his city friends, artists, critics and their likes. One of his friends is Diego Lobo, who is only 33 but already has made an impressing career as an Art Critics.

That's all from year 213. Year 214 will follow in a week or two.
