Estate von Haunt 75 Years Anniversary

(Year 234, Spring) This year it's 75 years since the old Estate von Haunt opened its doors as a museum, after a thorough renovation following the Year 98 fire. The building, worthy of a royal, did serve as the Lord von Haunt's estate for nearly a century, but is today owned by Mazaloom Historical Museum.

The day is packed with local events, and because this place holds a strong position in most Windenburgers' hearts, the large crowds are expected. Before the official opening a few prominant persons gathered for some photos, a private tour and a few last minute adjustments. They are not worried about the weather, come rain or sun!

Judith Ward celebrates 70!

(Year 234, Spring) Global Actress Judith Ward turns 70! Although she would have preferred staying at 69 for a few more years, she went for the big announcement, that a huge party is. In the formal invitation she made it clear that she wanted to check how it is to not limit your friends to the fame level right under your own! Perhaps it was a hint that she has passed the peak of her career, but there were certainly some suggesting that she is still afraid that all the guests would believe she wants their friendship after he party... This was obviously meant as a one night only.

Well, the guest list was long, but they all had some connection to either Judith personally, or to her long film career. The party can begin!

Exhibition: My Estate is my Palace

(Year 232, Summer) We already heard about the adjustments of the large peerage, where 12 high nobility peers were reduced to 8. A final confirmation of these changes is expected this Fall. The Royal Chamber, which is overseeing the large peerage as well as initiating these changes, now wants to focus more on the 8 high nobility peers that are still considered high nobility. And why not do so through a mini exhibition?

A dedicated crowd attended the exhibition opening of «My Estate is my Palace».

This weekend the exhibition «My Estate is my Palace» opened at the Casbah Gallery at Arts Quarter in San Myshuno.

Scandal: Moon Liza is my mother!

(Year 230, Winter) A very picant scandal is currently on everyone's lips! The woman painted on the old national treassure of Empire of Snorthia, recently touring Mazaloom kingdom, might be revealed as the mother of Royal Chief Attendant, Patricia Maiden (50)! Art lovers are in shock, and the Emperor is furious!

The painting has been touring our kingdom since last Summer, with stops in San Myshuno, Windenburg and Gloomville. It has been seen as a great and generous gesture by Empire of Snorthia to share one of its most beloved national paintings, «Moon Liza». The paiinting has never been outside the empire before. The artist was never identified, neither was the female model. You can read more about speculations here.

Now a visitor from Del Sol Valley, Patricia Maiden, has revealed that the painting mother must be her veryt own mother, Limia O. Maiden! This is quite controversial, as it actually shoots down the entire mystery of the painting that everyone thought was quite old.

Welcome «Moon Lisa»

(Year 230, Fall) This Fall a very rare exhibition opened at Casbah Gallery in San Myshuno. The famous and mythical painting «Moon Lisa» is currently touring Mazaloom kingdom, and this is her first stop. On opening night a high number of citizens flocked to the gallery to get a glimpse of the strictly guarded masterpiece that even made it to the national stamps of the Empire of Snorthia..

It is the first time Snorthia allows their national jewel to leave the empire, that alone is quite an event. No wonder people grabbed this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Royal students visited Exhibition «Rewind: Sim Sessions»

(Year 230, Fall) Not quite recent, but still worth a notice. Late Summer a small group of students got a guided tour of the Sim Session exhibition at Munipical Muse Museum in Gloomville. The teens included HRH Crown Princess Emireza (19) and her brother HRH Prince Bazillimus (17) with two friends.

Left to right: Nancy D. Roxenfox, Crown Princess Emireza, Prince Bazillimus,
Belly "Billy" Bobb and Cornelus Au. Dougham.

Museum curator Nancy D. Roxenfox welcomed the little group from Summerfield Boarding School in Windenburg. The event was off records, and turned out to be a spontaneous idea from the Crown Princess.

Gossips #5

(Year 230, Spring) Her is another issue of gossips from Antoinette Morck!

- Today I'm happy to share tons of gossips with you! Let's (almost) ignore the royal family for now, and rather check rumors from other corners of Mazaloom! His Majesty the King is busy addressing equality, but the announced press conference has not yet taken place and my in-palace contacts keep silence. But don't worry, we've got so much to focus on elsewhere!

The Moon Lisa painting coming to Mazaloom!

(Year 230, Spring) It's a masterpiece, it's a legend, and it has never before been exhibited in Mazaloom. No wonder National Museum curator Nancy D. Roxenfox (63) is super enthusiastic when announcing the arrival of famous Snorthia painting, «Moon Lisa»!

Famous painting «Moon Lisa» is coming to Mazaloom!

Today she invited a few journalists to her Gloomville office, to share the great news.

University - New term

(Year 228) It's that time of year again! Another term is about to begin at University, and six young adults are ready to grab their books and projects with desire! Well, for the first week, the least.

Mossy Lane Dorm has grown very popular with students reserving their stay years in advance. It's basically intended as a better standard dorm for noble youngsters, but after they picked their better roms on 3rd story, there will normally be rooms for regular students as well.

This term there are two young women from the same low nobility house, House of Rab-Saxor, but none of them rank very high, anyway. And - it naturally means fewer photographers at the term opening...

Windenburg Treasures at Historical Museum

(Y227) This weekend was the grand opening of the brand new section at Municipal Muses in Gloomville, one of Region 12's historical museums. The new addition is simply a full floor in the basement where half the area is dedicated a more or less permanent historical exhibition, and the other half will be used for changing themes.

Opening night saw a good crowd, and after a couple short speeches noble guests got a guided tour by the museum's Curator, Nancy D. Roxenfox. This prominent group included Duke Victus of Meadows, who is the Historical Museum's Patron, his teen daughter Lady Corva, and of course Duke Merlin von Windenburg with his wife, Duchess Mandy.

From left: Duke Victus (53) of Meadows with daughter Lady Corva (21). Duchess Mandy (41)
and Duke Merlin (75) von Windenburg. Nany D. Roxenfox, museum's Curator.

The first of many changing exhibitions to come is some of the old items of the dukedom von Windenburg, owned by either the Trust or by House von Heimlich. When their estate was recently renovated, a closed room was discovered in the cellar, hiding numerous long lost items.

Barony of Crest not to be revitalized

(Court House, San Myshuno) Region 12 Court House has concluded that the old peerage, Barony of Crest, is not to be reactivated. Royal Chamber was found guilty of handing the peerage to the House of Panter despite there being a young heir of House of Roxenfox, who actually held this peerage, but the case is very old and will not be reactivated.

Old-Duchess Claudine (Roxenfox) de Cavalier (red coat) was joined by her sister, Duchess Gloria (Roxenfox) Saxor of Meadows. In the background are Hector Roxenfox with wife Nancy.

This case was brought to court by Old-Duchess Claudine (Roxenfox) de Cavalier (pictured wearing red coat), on behalf of House of Roxenfox that is still residing the old Roxenfox Manor at Old Crest in Newcrest. Head of house is Hector Roxenfox (73), with wife Nancy (Dougham) Roxenfox and their daughter Bonita Roxenfox (31). They are to get paid a small compensation of §25 000.

Barony of Crest extinct by mistake?

(Year 226) Crest is the old name for today's Newcrest. The northern hood was the original center, often referred to as Old Crest, and the Barony of Crest was created by King Rupert of Mazaloom to protect the land from invasion by war enemy, as late as in year 50. This lead to the expansion of the hoods Crestville and Rivercrest. The Baron of Crest resided at Crest Hall in Old Crest, and unlike most high nobility peerages of the time, this peer was encouraged to focus on Business rather than Military.

Old-Duchess Claudine de Cavalier still resides with her husband, the Old-Duke, at Chateau Cavalier.

The person currently digging into the Crest history, is Duchess Claudine Beatrix (Roxenfox) de Cavalier, or should we say Old-Duchess as her new formal title says now that her oldest son inherited the dukedom. Those peerages are normally not inherited until the peer dies, but the Royal Chamber approved this early switch. These days she prepares leaving Chateau Cavalier.

Region 12 Historical Museum

(Year 226) Her motto is «Our past reflects our future, just as much as our future reflects the past».

Nancy (Dougham) Roxenfox (59) lives a good life at Old Crest in Newcrest, not far from the hood Crestville, where she grew up. Her father was Calvin Dougham Lord Crestville, a title inherited by her older sister, Corinne. They were three siblings, and Nancy was the one always interested in our common history. Aged 19 she became a dedicated member of the regional history club, and she surprised nobody when she got the job as the Curator of Region 12's division of the National Historical Museum, twelve years ago.

Nancy Roxenfox tries to provide changes, in order to attract a new audience as well as giving those who already visited a reason to visit again. She won't replace the traditional museum with an all new and modern concept, though.
