Welcome! :) On this blog you will find stories, how i play and videos created with The Sims 4, but also a few projects from older game versions can be found in the Archive. The old TS3 stories have their own blogs. Most long going stories have a main page with index of updates.

Check out Simmerville's Youtube channel!

I'm no longer on Tumblr! I refused to give all their 3rd parties unlimited access to my computer. Link still works, but no updates.

Y230 Election: Political Plans are here!

(Year 229, Fall) In less than 6 sim months, another 5 years election takes place in Mazaloom kingdom. This Fall the N.A.P. voting is on, and on 1st day of Spring comes the big Hood Contact election. Today - 1st Day of Fall, according to tradition - the three parties' Political Plan for the next period went public, as were their lists of Hood Contact candidates!

This weekend LEFT, MIDDLE and RIGHT arranged each their press conference.
Their logos are available as corkboard buttons as well as outfit buttons.

The parties will now fight for attention, and the battle is important for several reasons:

1. The party with most local N.A.P.s per region gets to set both their primary N.A.P. as the only active (dominating) N.A.P. and their regional tax&relief (ref Political Plan) for the entire region. Winning a region also will normally make for a small voting boost for the party's Hood Contact candidates in that region.

2. Winning many Hood Contacts will mean a better platform for their politics. The more Hood Contacts won total, the more seats the party gets in The People Chamber. The party winning the most seats there will not only have the President, but also have their national tax&relief (ref Political Plan) effective in all 8 regions.

3. The more (and stronger) Hood Contacts won, the better chance to get the party represented on the 8 regional Councils. Dominating a region's Council means regional political power.

Photo booth is back in High School Years EP!

Yay, we finally have the return of the photo booth!

You probably heard the news, but come July 28th the new High School Years Expansion Pack is released. Although the photo booth got my attention, so did tons of other content - this pack really seems to be - well, packed!

The trailer video is quite amazing, and although I think I'm covered with the Discover University EP, I will obviously need to reconsider. Can't wait to learn more about this new pack!

Here's the video:

Chateau Cavalier: It's a great Day for a Wedding!

(Year 229) The couple has been waiting for years - and finally they were allowed to elope! Duke Charlopold got his Lady Luna, and Lady Luna got her Duke Charlopold. Although the event was downscaled a bit due to the groom's father deceasing this Spring, the event that took place in the chateau gardens was not that bad. It looked like the bride and the groom's mother, Old-Duchess Claudine, were both satisfied.

Their full civil names are Charlopold Demitris de Cavalier and Luna V. Heimlich. They met at University some years ago, but their relation was not approved by the Old-Duke until last year, when Luna got her Lady style. It was discovered that she is the daughter of Duke Merlin von Windenburg, and not the criminal Jacques Villareal, like everyone thought.

This was my very first wedding more or less with the use of the My Wedding Stories GP features. Some fun, and some frustration...

UPDATED: Free download 18 Nail Recolors

July 2022: Downloading from this blogger post no longer works, so please head over to a new page listing all my TS4  custom content. All free. DOWNLOADS

UPDATED: Few months ago EA rearranged the texture layout for nails, and my old recolor did no longer work. Sorry for not fixing this earlier.

Here is a new version! The nail length is still medium - intended for society rather than extreme style modelling ;) Colors are not exactly the same as the old version (main project was deleted long ago), but the original point stays unchanged: More reds/pinks and less greens/blues. I need the paler versions for my duchess, countesses and baronesses. And the stronger reds and pinks will be fine for anyone preferring to stand out a bit more. Some of  the reds will look brighter red in game.

This time I also included a French tip version (number 8) ;)

Scroll down for new download link. Spa day is still required.

The Queen's Garden Tea Party

(Year 229) Yesterday 12 high nobility women were gathered in the Chateau Peak Garden. It was time for the Queen's Garden Tea Party!

This event was originally starting the social season, thrown late Spring every year by the Queen of Mazaloom. HRH Queen Venezia is of a less social nature, and has formerly apologized for not keeping up with this routine. However, now that HRH Crown Princess Emireza is about to join the adult society, things might have changed a little. At least it looked like the Queen enjoyed the little event.

A group photo shows that the gathering was not very formal, still they all wore hats, as tradition is. Well, those married, that is.

Gossips: News Anchor Paulo Caliente is taken

(Yea<r 229) A quick post to confirm the rumor that TV personality Paulo Caliente (38) is romantically involved! The chosen one is Haddy Virton (32) from Newcrest.

A photographer noticed the couple by the lake at Verde in Oasis Springs, where Paulo still resides with his half-sister Nina Caliente (70) and her daughter (and Paulo's half-niece/half-sister!), Adriana Caliente (29). Paulo's parents were never married, and his father, Don Lothario, currently lives with Actress Judith Ward in Del Sol Valley.

Brindleton Wedding in the Planning

(Year 229) It's not been the ideal start for the engaged couple, Duke Charlopold de Cavalier and Lady Luna V. Heimlich. 6 months ago they got engaged and a huge celebration was planned for their wedding to take place this Summer. It is a bit short notice to most noble houses, as this group is rather busy and need to plan big events like attending a wedding at least one year ahead. Traveling combined with a couple days with events, and minimum the ceremony and a gala, involves not only planning what clothes top wear, but also regalia and what jewels to bring. With a better notice there would be time to repair an old tiara, but okay - it will of course be possible to go for a 2nd best choice if needed. Squeezing in a 3 days visit to another region will need either planning or good luck, though.

The Duke de Cavalier's office.

Duke Charlopold knows all these things, but the couple has waited years to get engaged, thanks to certain controversies like Lady Luna descending from criminals. Thankfully, it turned out she is instead the daughter of Duke Merlin von Windenburg, but as soon as this problem was out of the way Duke Charlopold's old father, Old-Duke Aquess, died. The upcoming groom had no choice but declaring a full season of grief at Chateau Cavalier.

The Royal Chamber: Changes to the Large Peerage

(Year 229, Chateau Peek, Del Sol Valley) This week the 75th Grand Mazaloom Gathering (GMG) took place at Chateau Peek. This annual conference is hosted by The Royal Chamber and gathers all dukes of the kingdom as well as the 8 regional mayors to debate various community aspects. This year The Royal Chamber announced an upcoming redefining of the Peerage of Mazaloom, aka the Large Peerage.

And this is actually the perfect occasion to announce that there is a brand new Mazaloom Peerage overview on the Community Pages - a quick way to see the status of each peerage, their rank, and who the current dukes, counts and barons are.

The Royal Chamber (left to right): Prince Jerome, Count de Tredony (64). Duke Merlin von Windenburg (77). His Royal Majesty King Tarriot of Mazaloom (61). Duke Victus of Meadows (55). Lord Dominic of Deadgrass was not present, and Count Marcel II of Advorton (77) was too sick to attend this year's conference. Posing on the right is Lord Floyd Altham (91), not a knight of The Royal Chamber.

The large peerage was instated by King Baltazar II all the way back in Year 2, and the first peerages created in addition to the kingdom were dukedoms and counties, followed by some baronies. The system quickly came out of order when also a few "lordships" were created, unintendedly. It did not help a bit that the monarch was ditched as result of the Year 118 revolution, and the fighting Royal Chamber - mostly in order to secure more titles for their own houses, created numerous Lord and Lady titles outside the large peerage, not connecting to any land or real peerage.

The Simmerville Show - #2

(Year 229) Finally, Fritz Mervil is back with a new edition of The Simmerville Show! This time the subjects span from werewolves and mermaids to my game's political system.

Also, there is a sweet reunion from the «Sims By Numbers» show that was posted on my blog back in 2014. Back then the contenders were fresh Young Adults - meet them again 44 later! :) The old blog show can still be found on this blog (Archives).

The Simmerville Show is a nifty way for me to share stories and builds from my Region 12. There's plenty of references to the past, but you won't need any knowledge of my sims universe to watch, neither will there be many links between the shows. Each show lasts about 10-12 minutes.

I hope you'll enjoy :)

Werewolves - Moonwood Mill and Live stream

Are you waiting for the The Sims 4 Werewolves GP release come June 16th? Here is the Moonwood Mill world map, as shown at tonight's live stream. There's only 5 lots, but the hood is said to be large, giving an open world feel with plenty to explore off lots, too.

Click image for a bigger version.

I planned to share many pictures, but as most of it took place at night it got too dark and blurry, plus I got busy with my dinner and received a RL phone call, so I could not follow the stream as closely as I wanted. But I still saw plenty that I liked:

A Funeral at Chateau Cavalier

(Year 229) Yesterday a final farewell ceremony was held for the recently deceased Aquess Benedict de Cavalier, former Duke de Cavalier. He died at 83 after a few years of weak health. He spent his last year in a wheelchair.

The Brindleton dukes are buried in Chateau Cavalier's crypt. It's a small and peaceful room with seating for only 16.

TV series Delayed due to Sudden Death

(Year 229) If you watched the first Simmerville Show, you must have noticed the Castle Inspector, Constanza B. Bootwig. She took viewers away from the Studio by visiting two households and giving us all a chance to step inside estates where we would never set foot otherwise.

Yesterday it was reported that Constanza B. Bootwig is dead at 84.

Her son, Hugo Bootwig reports that his mother was missing from their home at Upperton in Gloomville, and because she is also missing from their familytree, he realizes that she mst be dead. He would like to get her urn, if anyone comes across it.

Constanza was widowed long ago, and was very interested in nobility and the upper class life in general. She figured as the contact seeking neighbor to the Gloom barony in the video series "As Sims Go By". Her son finds it upsetting that she disappesred at the time when the barony moved to another hood, and Upperton lost their long lasting high nobility that Constanza admired so highly.

Fritz Mervil, host of the Simmerville Show, stated that Constanza Bootwig was one of the most remarkable persons he ever worked with, and that he is very sad that she is no longer around. They had great plans for her in the future Simmerville Show, but this will now need to be rewritten and cause a delay for the Show.

Constanza B. Bootwig was survived by 2 dogs, son and 2 grandchildren (in that order). A grey granite rock was placed at Gloom Garden cemetary, next to her long gone husband's grave. We noticed flowers from both Fritz Mervil and the Baron and Baroness of Gloom.
