Welcome! :) On this blog you will find stories, how i play and videos created with The Sims 4, but also a few projects from older game versions can be found in the Archive. The old TS3 stories have their own blogs. Most long going stories have a main page with index of updates.

How I Play - High School with no Mods

While everybody are busy with Discover University, I've been busy fine tuning my local school system with a focus on High Schools. My local teens can choose to switch to a private high school for their final 3 years, in order to specialize on specific skills. Teachers have the Mentor trait, and there are actual school builds where the learning takes place.

In this short video (6:20) you get some more details in the form of a TV-show. I might publish a blog post on this subject later on, especially if anyone is interested in a more thorough walk through.

I will probably get the Discover University EP, but RL is too hectic for exploring it in a while, so I'll catch up with that pack later on. When University becomes an option to my locals, having a better skill build from a private high school should definitely be a huge advantage :)

How I Play (3) - Farm Rights

A new episode is up, sharing tidbits from how I play my game! I used my Farm Right concept ever since TS2, but it's become less rigid - believe it or not :)

My "How I Play" vids have given a makeover. They now come in the format of a tv-show, mix of gaming tips and machinima, hopefully quick enough to be entertaining - in a nerdy way.

How I Play #02: The Council

Yesterday I released a brand new video giving away a few hints and whatnots trying to explain how my game has a working Council, the election procedure and more. Have a look for yourself. I tried to make it short (only 5 minutes) - if you want more details, please leave a comment here or (rather) on the video channel.

And please note - my Councillors will be starring in my upcoming series, «As Sims Go By», premiering the September!

Get Creative with the Photo Studio Object

One of the features that I really looked forward to when buying Get To Work, was the cameras. Your sim can own a camera that makes it possible to create decent photos for the walls. But there is also the Photo Studio object that makes the photographed sims pose a bit more in a professional and fun setting.

But you know how it is, after using a feature a number of times, and intending using it for all my existing homes in Gloomville an the other regions, it became a bit worn out when families had to choose from a limited number of backdrops and poses. I had to develop this a bit further to secure enough variety for my sims...

So I did, and now you can see some of the result in a brand new video that was posted on my Youtube channel. Duration 4:39. I plan to post more short videos with tips & tricks.

Hopefully you are inspired to make more photos with your sims. Let me know how you like your sim family portraits :)
