More focus on Possessions

(Y230, Winter) People Chamber has decided to strengthen the public focus on private possessions. This far most ownerships have been logged, but some of them with random update frequency, and there were also ways to hide wealth from the public eye.

Vice PM Fanny Silverbone

Leader of the chamber's Trades & Taxes Dept., Vice PM Fanny Silverbone (70) has been leading the work, and is glad to announce the new guidelines.

Top 10 Wealthy Residents

(Year 230, Winter) So, let's take a look on the gossip-ish side of things. Who is the wealthiest resident of Mazaloom kingdom?

I keep pretty detailed lists of every resident's investments, stocks, land property, cash and other possessions like valuable heirlooms and jewelries. Head of top nobility houses will also possess the house's Trust. And some have large bank loans.

You can find most of these details in the online residents registry (history and heirlooms section, but some tidbits also list on the individual Profile pages. When a sim dies, heritage rules tick in, and in some cases the rank gets affected.

When all this sums up, who make it to the top 10 list of today?

Residents of Forgotten Hollow

(Year 225) My online Residents Registry is now updated with all - dead and alive - residents of the newly added Forgotten Hollow world. I've "played through" 200 years of history, mainly in CAS but still enough to leave a few traces like family portraits etc in the 5 homes.

I'll get back to a thorough introduction to my FH community in a couple weeks. Right now you can check their family trees, see their completed BIO pages, with life lines, genetics and design preferences. I put a bat on their portraits to make it easier to spot those plasma hungry vampires...

My vampire community is based on two rivaling clans.

Family tree - huge update adds 225 years of history!

(Year 225) Ha! - I just could not stop myself from going the full way! A week ago I proudly presented my new The Sims 4 family tree for all today's 70+ households, including 3-4 generations for most. Then I thought, why not add all that I know? All their known ancestors, siblings, aunts and cousins - whether I played them or not? Especially for my nobility I keep detailed notes of most of their family lines, and just because I don't have their portraits shouldn't stop me from adding them to the tree! Now there is even a touch of long gone royals!

The family tree grew rapidly, of course, as most nobility can be traced back to year 0. That's 225 years of family history. And I got myself a few surprises too, seeing how some of today's families actually connect a few generations back. That is the point of a genealogical tree, right? Seeing how they all connect. It helps understanding their background, and possibly also their presence and future. It's not only useful for locating cousins with a couple clicks, it will also help me finding a person's heirs.

Update: Community Section and Residents Registry

(Year 225) Isn't it fun how you decide not to build a detailed online community page for your TS4 game, but you just do it anyway? I didn't plan this monster that the registry has grown into, but now I just added even more sections! And - I'm seriously thinking of scripting the family trees, as well *looking away*!

Right now the Residents Registry has been updated with all events that took place in Year 224. I do add them to the script as they happen, but upload the new version to the site only at the end of the year.

But there are loads of brand new content as well! I don't remember everything that was added or improved, but here's a few highlights:

Residents Registry Updated

Finally, the error causing only left side info on a sim's bio has now been fixed. At the same time Evergreen Harbor residents and a brand new feature has gone public (earlier than planned for).

Addresses are now more detailed with name of house and picture of lot.

Also, the Real Estate info on the Community site was added. The previous "Real Estate" has been renamed "Moving" as the info was actually switching address regardless of owning or renting the lot.

The new Real Estate section has minimum one post per existing lot - including community lots, and shows old and new owner, as well as whether it was a sale, heritage, gift - or just an update. Most real estate trades also shows in a sim's LIFE LINE - on the bio page.

For some addresses there is lot history included, but this is a feature that was not completed yet. I also plan to add have the household address link to a list of all current household members. Not sure when that can be added, though.

Oh - and the Residents Registry now contain Evergreen Harbor residents! In the future this new district will be sorting under Gloomville administratively, but has its own section under LOCALITY.

Residents Registry will be repaired

I just got aware of that my Residents Registry has an online script error resulting in only the left side information showing. I don't know how much traffic the registry has, but because I link many articles from both this blog and my Tumbler to the character bios, I was a bit shocked to see that this error probably has been around for a while. I use the registry daily, but that is the offline version, which has been updated with new content.

To repair the error, I'll shortly upload the new version. I'll leave a short note here when it's done, with info on some of the new additions.
