Count and Countess of Ticktop on Cruise

(Year 234, Summer) It's still work in progress, but I enjoyed testing my new cruising ship, so why not share some pictures?

Count Helfert (50) and Countess Elisabeth (55) of Ticktop, on a normal day located in Glimmerbrook of my Crafthole region, went on a cruise! It was the countess' gift for her husband's 50th birthday. And perhaps also meant to get his thoughts off the fact that he is no longer seen as of high nobility, now that the Ticktop county's District Order was paused. It means a huge downgrade within Aristocracy, but not much they can do about. Or should I say - do a boat?

«The Admiral» is obviously not completed yet, I've added more windowes along the side, and some of the rooms need way more attention, too. The ship is operated by a company owning several ships, but this one offers the most popular cruises. They decided to join the cruise in Sulani, quite the trip, but let's just say other options did not fit well with the count's schedule.

As usual, we'll start with the royals.

People Chamber - Ministry of Health & Welfare

(Year 232, Summer) This is the fourth part of brief introductions to the 5 ministries of People Chamber. They are Law & Justice, Trades & Taxes, Culture & Entertainment, Health & Welfare, and finally Science & Education. Each ministry has 1 Minister joined by 3 or 4 members. Here is the current Ministry of Health & Welfare!

This ministry has a total of 4 members including the Minister. Their main focus is the practical aspects of medical care, and welfare. This also includes sports and food/health aspects of certain businesses, such as restaurants/bars and hotels. In addition they oversee population's demographics including Residents Registry updates.

The 15th Queen Evez Championship

(Year 232, Summer) Every other year Mazaloom's society enjoys a day with show jumping, and mingling along with some punch and cake in hand. This is the 15th competition, and a new Champion is to be found!

Queen Evez Championship is originally intended for the finer families. All Houses gets invited, and some of them will even participate in the show jumping contest. Check back a couple blog posts for more details on preparations.

Nobility Descending from Kings

(Year 232, Summer) Mazaloom kingdom has a wide aristocracy including a level of high nobility. Today this level includes 12 Houses, but come the Regional Reform Y233 the exclusive list shall count only 8 high nobility Houses, one for each region. Let's have a look at the current 12 Peers; Who can track their lines back to our kings? And, will those royal lines affect what 4 Houses that will shortly drop to regular nobility (often referred to as low nobility)?

Let's check the House by House. There are 5 dukedoms, 4 counties and 3 baronies. Only the dukedoms are secured a position as high nobility. Here is how they rank by royal heritage:

The Mysterious Glimmerbrook Horse

(Year 232, Spring) There exist several reports, and yet nobody was allowed to get close to the white and pink Unicorn of Glimmerbrook. The owner, Count Helfert of Ticktop (48), can occasionally be seen riding this spectacular creature.

They never take a ride during daylight hours, but there is no information stating whether the horse is shy of light or they simply try to ignore curious tourists. Over the past years tourism has grown and Glimmerbrook has more short term visits than ever before. This is not thanks to the unicorn, though, but the Brook Herbarium that has become quite popular, also for exclusive but small weddings.

Glimmerbrook was always a rather secluded community, their Tickertown is still very hard to locate unless you hire a local guide. Half their population is said to reside there, in Tickertown. Glimmerbrook with Tickertown is the total of Region 8 Ticktop. With a population of only 4,000 this region is doomed to expire, as hey will shortly be merged with a neighboring region. Details are yet not official.

Glimmerbrook: Brook Herbarium - part two (Underground)

Here is the 2nd part of the Brook Herbarium introduction. In the 1st part article you got to see the public part - that is all above ground level including the old graveyard. But that is only half the lot!

From the secret passage and through a wooden door...

Underground there exist a spacious area that has been used by the schools of magic for nearly a couple centuries. Most visitors have no idea, but members of those schools will normally come to Brook Herbarium simply to access the secret domain underground.

Glimmerbrook: Brook Herbarium - part one (Public)

While I must wait a while to ride horses, pet goats and shear sheep, I decided to grab two gamepacks on the Summer sale. Cheaper, but enough to keep me busy. I already posted a bit about Werewolves GP, and few days ago I also got the Magic GP.

Each of Moonwood Mill and Glimmerbrook comes with just 5 lots. I like to be able to add another corner of my long going kingdom, without needing to fill in tons of new households. Glimmerbrook is part of my Region 8 Ticktop.

Right now I'm done adjusting the 5 lots of Glimmerbrook, so I want to share one of them: Brook Herbarium! I'll obviously keep fine tuning, but  am ready for a first tour anyway. This lot is very special to many locals, it holds a public part and a secret part underground, so I'll split this into two  articles, starting with what is public...
