Welcome! :) On this blog you will find stories, how i play and videos created with The Sims 4, but also a few projects from older game versions can be found in the Archive. The old TS3 stories have their own blogs. Most long going stories have a main page with index of updates.

Check out Simmerville's Youtube channel!

I'm no longer on Tumblr! I refused to give all their 3rd parties unlimited access to my computer. Link still works, but no updates.

The Five Units Challenge - Report #6 - Family Photo

My little challenge goes on and it's time to celebrate! Sylvia maxed out her cooking skills, so cooking will be the theme of her outdoor unit! Because she is first, she can pick any of the 5 prepared slots - they are all free.

The entire family celebrates with a solid serving of mac and cheese. Well, they forgot to place Donna in her highchair, so she ate while seated in the armchair instead.

Sylvia's top 5 skills are: Cooking (10), Parenting (8), Gardening (5), Comedy (3) and Baking (2). She never really practiced comedy, but she might have read a book or two, or told the kids a joke every now and then. I had no idea, really.

Food bag routine has improved! Rudolph, Sammy and Fiona are students, and every night Sylvia prepares their sack lunch and place them in the fridge. Instead of sending the kids to the fridge, I move those small meals over to the counter, easy to grab. Guess someone should clean that counter, though...

Abraham assists Sammy on his school project that was already ruined twice. I think the progress will speed up with help from an adult, just like toddlers learn faster with some help.

It's very late and Sylvia reads Donna to sleep. Fiona is already sleeping in that purple bed.

Boys' room upstairs was decorated a bit more. Note the posters, Abraham collected them in San Myshuno for their birthday :)

Sylvia did already move the planters to one of the five units. She can't make up her mind though - this plot or the next one? She has a plan, but only a vague one, she will just keep it simple for now, nothing is stuck yet.

Sammy completed his school work. Now, where to put it? Can he keep it or will he need to bring it back to school on Monday? It's Friday night and all will have a couple days off. Ugh, busy days? The family will need some planned activities for sure! I would like them to have their family photo taken, would be fun while Donna is still a toddler. There is a professional photographer living elsewhere in my Newcrest, he is named Shariff Potterfield and you might have seen him on the San Myshuno Undercover movie series. I think they should contact him tomorrow. And on Sunday the family can first visit a swimmingpool, then a restaurant for dinner? Sounds like a good plan! If they can afford it...

They all dressed up a little, then travel to the Arena Shopping Mall at Newcrest. It contains a small photo studio where one wall is covered by photos taken of locals.

But it turns out the photographer Shariff Potterfield himself is in San Myshuno on business, bummer!

The kids then spot the bakery, and Abraham suggests they could buy some pastry before returning back home.

It's Donna's very first visit to a shopping mall, and she loves it!

Back home Sylvia looks up a local photographer Dorothy Flemming in the yellow pages, and invites her over. Ms Flemming has no studio but specializes in bringing her equipment to wherever customers want her. So she arranges for a photo sessions right there in the Clump garden.

This is how it looks when the Clump family of 6 gets their family photo taken. Check out my Youtube video if you want some Studio tips!

Afterwards they invite Ms Flemming inside, get those photos up on the wall, and it all turns out pretty well although the photographer was not as experienced as they expected.

The very eccentric Ms Dorothy Flemming talks with a very dark voice and wears more jewelry than Sylvia ever owned. She could not provide them with top quality photos, but Sylvia is happy with the result anyway.

She also puts aside smaller versions of the photos that she will hand to the kids as they move out in the future. Those days seem very far away at the moment, but will suddenly become reality.

To be continued...
