Welcome! :) On this blog you will find stories, how i play and videos created with The Sims 4, but also a few projects from older game versions can be found in the Archive. The old TS3 stories have their own blogs. Most long going stories have a main page with index of updates.

Check out Simmerville's Youtube channel!

I'm no longer on Tumblr! I refused to give all their 3rd parties unlimited access to my computer. Link still works, but no updates.

The Five Units Challenge - Report #2 - First Real Family

My little challenge for this summer/fall moves on rapidly, and twins just grew up, yay! Abraham and Sylvia had twins, and now seeing their genetics is quite exciting.

The toddlers seem to behave calmly and with manners, but I guess that will change soon enough? It's been a while since toddlers were introduced to TS4, but I hardly had time to play them until now.

Certain new objects are needed too, like toys and beds, and high chairs. The family saved up some money, but will it be enough? After buying those essentials, it turned out the shower had to be replaced with a tub. They're pretty much broken right now.

Rudolph got both dad's genetics, black hair and blue eyes. So, although he carries the right hair, we can't say for sure whether he will pass on hair or eyes to his future offspring. Rudolph's toddler trait is Angelic. I figured his favorite color will be yellow. My sims always have favorite colors, it makes dressing and interior so much easier.

Sammy got both hair and eyes from mom, so neither he is a perfect main heir. His toddler personality is Clingy, but I didn't see much of that in practice yet. Sammy prefers blue, just like mom...

It's good to know though that both do have at least one DNA requirement, meaning they are both in with a chance. Even if a future sibling carries both DNAs, Rudolph and Sammy will be good backup plans.

It's cool to see that Rudolph and Abraham have different personalities. Sammy seems less hyper, but cries a lot more. Abraham seems to be up to more experimenting and needs to be corrected.

One night Sylvia read to Sammy, but he decided to get out of his bed to fart instead. LOL.

Sylvia decided to serve him some food instead.

Occasionally the toddler wander outside, and if nobody stop them they might end up anywhere on the lot. Luckily they will not wander into the street... I think...

Abraham and Sylvia have their hands full with the twins, and I do wonder how this would have worked if one of them left for work every day? It seems like quite a challenge, toddlers are active and very cute...

Potty training has become the big family event. Not pictured, but Abraham arrived to simply watch!

Rudolph might be testing limits, he decided to mess around with kitchen stuff. Nobody stopped him, and there was no mess afterwards, so I assume it's just one of those events where parents can teach the kids a better behavior.

You can just about see Sylvia and Rudolph in the right side window. Imagine them discussing where Rudolph might be hiding, we can't find him! :)

Dining table had to be reorganized to make use of both highchairs. Dining with toddlers is actually very cute as they can get pretty communicative.

Toddlers can eat in many ways. I did not expect that they can serve themselves from a group meal, then climb into an armchair to eat their meal. Oh, cuteness!

Rudolph also bring food to his bed, such a smart child!

Abraham and Sylvia made another successful try for baby recently. Now it's time for Sylvia to visit the hospital again, but this time Abraham stays back home to look after the twins. There would probably be a babysitter if he left, but they are short of money...

It's a girl! Fiona Clump is her name. The bedroom is getting rather packed now, the plans on expanding the room to make a separate room for the twins prior to this birth, failed. Living with toddlers and Sylvia being pregnant was quite a challenge. I really hope Fiona will have black hair and green eyes, if so there will be no more babies in a while...

To be continued...
