Myrhna was often exhausted. Still she had this dream to become a famous musician, and the only way achieving her goal was to work hard in the local theater.
And while there was a growing conflict between the older and younger couples, Albert and Myrhna were not going along too well either!
- But Albert, listen, you could have served us some fresh food instead of this!
- It's ugly food, it's good food!
- Argh, it looks good'n'ugly, bt it sure tastes like crap!
- I think we need more rules in this house, Myrhna said. - Mum must get some chores, like she should prepare dinner every day!
- So, Anna, we have been talking. And we want you to get in charge of the dinner meals.
- Oh, Albert, I know you two are busy, but so am I. Why don't we order pizza?
- Every day?
- Sure! They have plenty pizzas to take from. And we can alter the flavors.
- But we will need to eat fish every now and then, Albert protested, and saw a possibility of sending the old woman out fishing. That way she would bring in some free food to the household.
- Not possible! They don't offer fish pizza.
The next day Albert and Myrhna were cleaning the kitchen after another day of eating spoiled food.
- How did she actually react?, Myrhna asked. - We saw no pizza delivery today.
- I guess she already forgotten what we talked about. Perhaps we should rather tell Jonas to prepare our dinner?
- I have better plans for Jonas, Myrhna said. She looked quite enthusiastic.
- Like what?
- There was another complain from the Town Council. Our house is too ugly, we need to repaint it.
- No way! It's ugliness is a treasure, not a problem!
I think Jonas could help painting the house, maybe mom can get involved somehow, too! Let's sleep on it, and I'll discuss it with mom tomorrow.
The next day they found Anna on the sofa, pretending she was reading.
- Mom, we need to discuss something important.
- Hush! Can't you see I'm reading?
- Where is Jonas?
- He is sleeping in my bed, what else would you expect?
- We want Jonas to paint the house. Neighbors are complaining again. Do you think he could do that?
- Sure, we have some responsibility around here. After all we own this place!
- Ehem, Albert chimed in. - Well, about painting, the result should not be too perfect, mind you!
- See? They will both be busy, and we will keep the Council on a distance for the time it takes to repaint this house. Neighbors will calm don when they see we are actually doing something about it.
Myrhna was quite pleased with her move. Now she could focus even harder on her dream. Music, music, music! With six persons living at home, it was impossible to practice her guitar playing there.
And she was hoping for a promotion at the teater, maybe she would play guitar solo this Fall?
But no! It turned out to be the worst day at work, ever! Myrhna was fired! There was no need for guitars in the upcoming season! Myrhna was suddenly unemployed!
