While the real house owners, Albert and Myrhna Wickerwood sleeps upstairs in the less impressive section that was built for Myrhna's mom, Anna.
Albert and Myrhna decided to focus on raising their two kids, Hui and Edna, rather than getting upset over the elders. But they already decided to make Anna and Jonas repaint the house.
- I will buy some paint today, said Albert. He was wearing his uniform, getting ready for work.
- Great!, cheered Myrhna, almost forgetting about the dishes for a second.
After Myrhna was fired from the Theater, she had found herself serving the kitchen. It's definitely not her favorite activity, she would rather practice her guitar. But her mom's lover was always hungry...
- I need food! I'm hungry!!!
- Oh, shut up!
But then she served them a good meal. Anna would join them a few minutes later.
- Well, why are you two not yet dressed?, she asked.
- Early morning, explained Myrhna while Jonas just stared at the old lovebird of his.
- Jonas!, Anna said with a firm voice. - Get dressed! Or have you forgotten our special plans for today?
And Jonas went like - Huh?
A little later Hui return back home from school. He was unhappy.
- Dad, they called me a seriously mis shaped face from space!
- Your friends at school are smart!, Albert said.
- But they hunt me! They even called me ugly!
- That' even better, son! I'll tell you, ugly is best there is!
- How can that be true, dad?, asked Hui.
- It's our pride, son! The uglier, the better! Go out there and be proud of your looks! Anything that can be done in the name of ugliness is brilliant! Now we must just hope that your sister Edna will turn out as ugly as you!
Little Hui felt better, but still was a bit confused.
The next day Albert was helping Hui with his ugly homework. Then the elderly couple walked in.
- Hello, everyone! Say hello to Mr. Eastwall!
- What? said Myrhna, gazing at her mom. - You two married?
- We sure did!, laughed Anna Eastwall. - Jonas is now your stepfather,
- Really?, Myrhna whispered. All she could think of was that she would no longer be inheriting her own mom!
