The Five Units Challenge - Report 29 - Looking for Fiona

Life goes on, and this series might be speeding up a little as I did not plan to follow this challenge for the rest of my life...

Donna, wearing red top, is only the 2nd generation, while Olivia, all to the right, is Donna's daughter and heir to the challenge. Donna's mom, Sylvia, wearing a yellow tee, is a widow since many years.

The guy in the middle f the sofa is Donna's son August, who just became a teen. His traits are Music lover and Insane, and his goal is to become a Musical genius.

- I have this wonderful idea involving all of us, Sylvia announced one night. - How about taking a short vacation at Granite Falls?
- Really?, August protested.
- Yes!, Olivia cheered. - It will be my first visit to the forest!

Even their cat Sasha were included in Sylvia's plans. Sasha had recently shown fright towards both the robot cleaner as well as their front door, but this night she was hunting elephants, so she should me more than prepared for a night in the wild!

But before going on vacation, Donna wanted to search for her sister Fiona.

She met up with her brother, Sammy, who lives with his family in San Myshuno's Spice Market district. Fiona used to live in the Art Quarters when Donna heard from her. But now they were not sure, it had been months since Fiona was in contact with any of them. Her phone was no longer answered, neither could Donna contact her husband, Ayaan.

- They used to live over there, Sammy said as they looked at the old brick house. Fiona's apartment obviously was occupied by a new family, and Sammy had been in touch with them already. - They knew nothing!

So what happened to Fiona, her husband and their child? Where did they go, and why did Fiona no longer stay in touch with her old family?

- I'm little Nadia's aunt!, Donna complained referring to Fiona's daughter. - She has probably started school, maybe we should look up all school registries?

- Oh, look!, Sammy said. - The man over there looks like Fiona's husband, Ayaan Meshram!
- Yes, you are right! Where is he heading?

- We will find out if we follow him!, Sammy said. - Let's go!

They walked as fast as they could without running. Running would make more sounds, Ayaan would hear them, and if he noticed them he might even run off.

But no...

- Where did he go?, Sammy asked. - And how could he escape this quickly, did he see us?

- Perhaps he walked in that door?, Donna suggested. - There's no names next to the door, it might be electronic, only accessible on a cell phone. You know that modern system...?

They waited for thirty minutes, but decided to give it another try some other day.

Back home at Newcrest, after packing for the vacation Sylvia had one thing on her mind, phonong her friend Dorothy Flemming, the weird photographer.

- Dorothy! It's me, Sylvia! I'll go straight to the point - I know about your secret.
- What?
- I urge you, Dorothy! You must be honest to me, or our long going friendship must end.
- What do you mean?
- I'm off to Granite Springs for a couple days, but when I return you and I must meet, and then I want to meet your male alter ego!

It was finally time for the vacation! After arriving Granite Springs, Sylvia lead them all to the camp grounds.

- Look, there's the glowfruit tree I planted when I was still up and coming!

- Abraham was here, too. Oh, it feels so long ago!

Sylvia was getting rather old by now, Donna felt sorry for her. They all missed Abraham, and it felt unfair that Donna's parents should leave at such different ages.

It was a lovely day though, although the air felt a bit crispy in the deep forest. sylvia took Olivia on a short walk so examen wild plants.

- Look, Olivia! There is a good herb for all kinds of use! Granny will pick it for making her herbal brews.

Later on they had a grilled meal at the cam grounds. Sylvia and Donna exchanged secret smiles, they had a secret coming up for little Olivia!

- Do you remember what day it is today, Olivia?
- Sure, it's my birthday! But we are away from home, so I guess we'll just have some cake once we return to Newcrest.

But no, Donna had brought a cake, and next thing Olivia knew was that the cake was covered with burning candles! A real birthday cake in the wild!

- Oh, yay, I'll make a wish!
- You don't really need to, dear Olivia! Just blow the candles...
Donna didn't want Olivia to make dreams not matching with the five units challenge. Because Olivia was the third generation, there were already plenty of skills waiting for her to max out. Sylvia's cooking skill, late Abraham's painting skill, and Donna's not yet decided skill.

And then Olivia grew into a good looking teenager. Her traits are Self-assured and Loner, and of all dreams, this young woman secretly chose to aim for Chief of Mischief!

Donna realized that she would need to decide her chosen skill very soon. It's not required until Olivia's next birthday, but the sooner will be the better for everyone.

More in a few days!
