Welcome! :) On this blog you will find stories, how i play and videos created with The Sims 4, but also a few projects from older game versions can be found in the Archive. The old TS3 stories have their own blogs. Most long going stories have a main page with index of updates.

Check out Simmerville's Youtube channel!

I'm no longer on Tumblr! I refused to give all their 3rd parties unlimited access to my computer. Link still works, but no updates.

Gloomville Diaries - gen 1 - ch 34: Miranda

Last chapter we followed Edith to the club where she works as a comedian. How about her twin sister Miranda, what is she up to?

One morning Ochana was cutting fresh tomatos from the garden, Miranda walked into the kitchen.

- Mom! she said. - Did you know how healthy strawberries are? Why by Similius don't we grow any of those?

Ochana hardly looked up. They worked quite hard in the past finding the wild tomatos to start growing them at home. She wasn't too interested in a new project.
- So just where would you find those strawberries, Miranda? Don't you think that people walking by would pick each berry to eat on their way?

- I will find some! It says on the web they grow everywhere. But I'll need some berries, of course, not some already harvested plant.

The salad was ready, and looked quite impressive.
- Wow, mom, you are one excellent cook!
- Well, I've got many, many, many years of experience. It's time that someone else took over, actually. I could still bake the cakes though, I prefer cake over salad any day!

Edith was up, too, and headed for the table.
- I hope you won't suggest me for those kitchen duties, mom! You know I'm better on jokes than on those recipes.

- In a year you will both grow up, girls! I can't believe how fast those years went by!

- Will we give a decent party? A good birthday party?
- Not the big style, Edith, Ochana replied. - But we'll come up with something, perhaps a picnic.
- I'd love that, said Miranda. - We could bring strawberries for the treats!

- Well, said Ochana. - Would you invite someone special?
- What do you mean, special? Edith asked.
- A boyfriend, perhaps?
- Nah, said Miranda. - Or maybe... it's a full year ahead, isn't it a tad early to send out invitations?

Meanwhile Chad was upgrading the toilet to self-cleaning.

After they expanded the bathroom a little, it's actually room for doing such things...

A few hours later Miranda and Edith were still not ready to leave the house. But they discussed boys, and Miranda showed a selfie of her and Alan Mugger.
- Well, I'm glad we don't hunt the same boys, was all Edith could say.

Their younger sister, Paula, also joined. She is still a rather fresh teenager, but has just started to look at the boys.

The girls decided to attend the Lavender Café some day soon.

Miranda still spent much time in the garden. She had built enough skills to evolve the plants, and she dreams about a perfect garden.

She has started to plan how the plants can be better organized, and maybe they could build a greenhouse, too? She often search the web for greenhouses and garden tools.

- Ah, that plant looks lovely! *sigh*

But there was also Alan Mugger, that Miranda had grown fond of.

- Hello Alan! Are you at home, I'd like to stop by!

Alan Mugger is young adult and resides with his teen sister at Muggerfield hood. They have the only farm of this hood, and the produce is sold across the road, at Mugger Fair.

- Hi you! Let me show you a new greenhouse design! said Miranda.
- Miranda, tomatos you brought me long ago are thriving!

Then Miranda suggested to help Alan with the toads. It was weeding time, and she enjoyed spending time in the garden together with someone!

- Miranda, I wanna show you something I think you will like! Alan said. - Come!

They walked over to the community garden right behind Mugger Farm. Right there was a strawberry plant, with a couple berries on that nobody had picked yet. Miranda harvested the plant.
- Yay, this is awesome! she laughed.

Of course Alan deserved a hug, too.

The next day Miranda called Ochana into the dining room to share the news.

- Mom, I got some strawberries! I'll plant them today!

- Oh, great! said Ochana, not quite understanding the fuss. They already grew tomatos, potatos, apples and a few herbs. They never intended to run a farm either - after all Willow Farm was next door.

Miranda planted the new strawberries, and she was greatful to Alan. How did he know?

Ochana spent a few nights in her secret attic office. She practiced writing, and one night she completed a test book.

She was now ready to write down all her findings for the Gloomville Diaries. But how to organize it all? Those 3 corkboards were almost empty. The more she thought, the less she knew.

She reread the Secret Mission's Rules and Directions. The older twins' birthday was coming up very soon. She would need to pass on the mission shortly! She could wait a little longer, but the longer she waited, the less time on the main heir's hands.

She read about the Heir qualifications, how skills and more would be converted to points. She suddenly understood that maybe it was not up to her to decide, after all? But how should she prepare the four possible heirs on this? One of them would become Main Heir, and some other would become Secondary Heir. Main Heir would need to marry someone from this very hood, while Secondary Heir would need to settle in Oasis Spring!

She gathered all four in the living room.

- Well, I think it's time that I inform you all about how we will decide our main heir. It's not to be done quite yet, but soon enough. To have this house, you will need a minimum of skills, so do your homework! You will also find that you can't marry just anyone, but those details will only be told to the heir.

- What? asked Edith. - Why can't I marry anyone and still have this house? I'm the oldest one, so I assume I will be at least considered!
- And if I get involved with a guy from Muggerfield hood, I will not be up for this house and garden at all? asked Miranda.

- If you score well enough, I'm sure there will be a solution to all that, but basically this is all based on some rukes, and they were not even decided by me.
- Mom, are we still on that silly Sims by Numbers Show? Paula asked.
- No, no, nothing like that, said Ochana and laughed nervously. She knew it all along, those silly rules that she got from late Aileen Gleeson would never be accepted by the young generation!
