Well, this far 2 of Hope's 4 children grew up and married! And in this chapter it might be Animere's turn, if she managed to escape the waters after the darkhaired merman tipped her boat.
Aquid Merez, the oldest, got the main house, and his wife Clemmensa recently gave birth to a son, Almus Merez. Clemmensa is the current holder of the orange ring!
Out there is the ocean, lives Aquid's brother, Davitor, who married to Ocina Tushell, who holds the blue ring. They had no children yet.
Aquid loves tending their garden, but these days are getting colder, and he thinks there might be another period with freezing temperatures coming up.
Aquid found a new vegetable on the grounds! He brought it inside, and his mother, Hope, studied it thoroughly. They both loves the color! They decides to plant it to see what happens.
Meanwhile, Animere who *did* survive the boat accident, and who just grew up, is on the beach with Aquid's wife, Clammense. Then the darkhaired merman shows up again, staring at Animere!
Animere tells Clammensa about the horrible accident, and Clammense laughs and says that the darkhaired young man happens to be her brother, Abrovin Scalor! She manages to talk to him in the language of the mer people, and she translates to Animere that Abrovin just wants to apologize. He wanted to play, and he had no idea that Animere was a lousy swimmer and not a half mermaid!
Then Abrovin rises from the waters, and both the women stares as his fishtail transfers into feet, and he walks onto the warm sand. This can only happen when a mer person is in love. Animere gives him a skeptic look, as he grabs her arms! He looks kinda... disturbed. Can she trust him?
The next day Hope heard the news, and asks Clammensa all sorts of questions regarding her brother. He is a clever angler, and he is playful but not childish. And Clammensa thinks he is the best husband Animere can get!
Hope really wish that everyone could find their spouses based on love, not by directions. Besides, when Aquid and Animere marry siblings, the DNA might be limited. They are only 4, and when all of them are married, no more mer people can be rescued until the next generation grows up to marry.
The next day Animere married Abrovin.
It turned out he brings another ring, the purple ring! This ring brings nervosity which leads to pessimism and weakness. Perhaps not the better qualities, but might be good for something in the future?
Animere is superior regarding status, but Abrovin brings the power of a ring, and the argue a while over the lastname. The name Klinge replaces both Merez and Scalor, and it might work. They build a tiny fisherman's shed on the western rock.
They don't have a boat yet, so they fish from land. Not very successful though, but in time they will arrange something. Back there you see the orange house at Hope Terra, and the gray house out there in the sea, where Animere's older brother Davitor lives with his wife.
Animere is not really in love, but she realizes that with human legs, there might not be a better option for her. Abrovin is nice to her, and knowing he is brother of Clammensa, feels like some guarantee. They slowly grow closer.
And now, back on Hope Terra, there is only one more child to go, Shimmerita! She has no boyfriend yet, but is a sweet young woman and being half mermaid she do mingle a little with the mer people.
Tonight is her birthday. She stepped outside for some fresh air, although the rain is pouring down. She is excited. Something good must be coming her way!
She doesn't see the group of very dark skinned mer people back there in the waters. Are they from the Mudder group? Are they spying?
Next update September 15th
Shimmerita had a birthday, she is now a young adult, so below is her new fact card. On the Hope Terra main page you will find all the household members' current cards :)
