- I really need something to eat! Could you two take a break from the talking, and prepare some food?, he complained quite loudly.
- Sandwiches will do, Myrhna replied.
A little later the two women were busy talking again.
- Your Albert isn't really effective, I must say! You are highly pregnant, and all he can think of is food!
- Well, mom, we had a certain deal when it comes to housework. I'll do all the cooking and Albert does all the cleaning.
Old Mrs Eastwall was not impressed. - Well, he seems to do neither of those two!
She reached out for Myrhna's growing belly.
- Soon you will be four, and there will be more cooking as well as cleaning. I really can't wait to welcome my second grandchild!
A little later Albert had no choice but repairing the kitchen sink. Okay, it was highly due, and had been so for a few days already. They could have ordered a repairman again, but ordering the same kind of services twice a week seemed like wasting their money.
- That's it, Albert!, Mrs Eastwall cheered. Little Hui was sitting on the old woman's arm, cheering, too. - Afterwards you should repair the toilet!
Albert wanted to scream, but said nothing.
- She's gone to bed?, he asked.
- Yawn! Yes, it's getting late. She sleeps in Hui's room, hopefully he won't keep her awake.
- How long will she stay? Tell me it's just a short visit?
- Argh, I know she will see her new grandchild, but I don't know for sure how long she will stay.
- Gotta clean this floor while she is out of sight...
Myrhna appreciated her mother's visit, but it also meant that she could not practice her guitar playing, and she missed music.
When throwing out the trash, she usually did sing just to feel some rhythm. Well, the winter was pretty cold anyway. It would easily become too cold for her to spend hours outside to play her guitar. Hopefully spring would come soon!
Then, one day the new baby wanted to join them!
- Oh, oh, ouch! Baby is coming!
- Relax dear!, Mrs Eastwall shouted. - Don't panic, dear! I'll assist you!
- Oh, mom! Just call a taxi, please. It will be safer giving birth in the hospital.
More in a week! This story has been updated pretty often lately, but I think updates on weekends will be a better schedule for the near future :)
