The Five Units Challenge - Report 17 - Donna dating

Donna spent hours on painting, almost daily she painted various motives and tried to learn new techniques. She needs to max out her painting skill, just like dad Abraham did.

But Abraham worried a bit.

- Donna, you do great, but wouldn't it be wiser to focus on those actions that really matters?

Donna did not understand. - What matters more than mastering painting and cooking?
- You are a grown up girl, you will need to move on with your family.

He reminded her of the rules, that she will only succeed if she is still alive when her grandchildren had maxed out the total of 5 skills. Depending on how long Donna will live, this will be hard to accomplish because of the limited time. So, every year counts!

Donna got the advise, and she invited Gerald for lunch at Civic Cliffs at Newcrest Main. She hoped they could sit outside, because that's a pretty atmospheric place, but they got a table inside. This diner like restaurant was not known for great food, but a quick lunch date didn't demand that much.

The most important thing was that she got to know Gerald well enough to decide whether she should see him once more.

- The nectar is pretty good, she giggled.
- You are good, he replied.
- How is the burger?, she asked.
- It's getting cold unless I can take my eyes off you...

The staff obviously understood that this was an important date, as all three of them hang around this table, ignoring the many guests outside.

When Donna left Newcrest Main, she had a good feeling. She really looked forward to seeing Gerald Westbrook again.

Back home, mom Sylvia greeted her in the tiny hallway.

- Now, how was it?, she asked with a curious smile, preparing to embrace her daughter.
- It was great, mom! We'll meet again tomorrow night!

And so they did! Donna didn't want them to meet at the Clump house quite yet, it would be hard being private if the family was hanging around interrupting their conversations. So she met Gerald on the green lot across the street. There's nothing of interest there, just a couple park benches and a few plant boxes intended for a community garden that obviously never got started. No locals visited and Donna and Gerald were allowed to build a pretty strong relation.

They kissed for the very first time, and they decided to go steady!

Then they obviously needed a break...

Just like in RL, they both pulled up their cellphones, totally ignoring the other. Even on a romantic date like this...

But soon they were seated on a bench, and only the birds know what they talked about.

Well - we actually know, too. Donna invited Gerald to stay the night at the Clump house, and this was probably the moment when Donna took over the master bedroom downstairs. From now on Abraham and Sylvia will sleep in the boys' room upstairs, now that also Rudolph moved out. He settled at Spice Market in San Myshuno, near his twin brother Sammy.

And Donna did woohoo with Gerald before they went to sleep! Perhaps they should have at least be engaged first, but time is the matter. And it feels like Gerald is set to become a good spouse, right?

More in a few days!
