Welcome! :) On this blog you will find stories, how i play and videos created with The Sims 4, but also a few projects from older game versions can be found in the Archive. The old TS3 stories have their own blogs. Most long going stories have a main page with index of updates.

Check out Simmerville's Youtube channel!

I'm no longer on Tumblr! I refused to give all their 3rd parties unlimited access to my computer. Link still works, but no updates.

The Five Units Challenge - Report 20 - Fiona's Cat

But, no!!! Little August grew up to a toddler, and while his hair is black, his eyes are brown - not green. He sure is a charmer, and he would make for a good runner up. But Donna and Gerald should go for a second try. Sorry Donna, you might need to fill the house with more kids!

I never keep babies until they grow up by game, instead I'll age them up after 1 day. Then I'll keep a toddler for 4 days, until growing into a child and starting school. I find toddlers very cute, but it easily gets chaotic when all household members rush to the toddler to do stuff that might even interrupt with whatever some other sim is currently doing. So, toddlers are challenging not so much because of themselves needing attention, but because of parents, teen siblings or grandparent rushing to assist them by free will. The programming for this seems so wrong compared to previous sims series - a sim should not rush to a toddler who is already being helped by someone else. I just had to mention this... :)

At least Sylvia adored her new grandchild. August was her 3rd grandchild, because both Rudolph and Sammy got kids downtown. Rudolph got daughters Sybil and Carolina, while Sammy got daughter Sabrina.

August is Sylvia and Abraham's first grandson.

And Donna seems to enjoy parenthood. She is rather good at taking care of August's needs.

So is Gerald, he didn't mind reading August to sleep, not even if Donna had just placed him in the highchair to serve him some food. By the way, Gerald was building his politician career nicely - it was all developing a bit slowly, so maybe I should pay a bit more attention to it?

Fiona fell in love - not with a guy of her own kind, but a stray cat that was visiting the garden frequently.

It looked like a Siamese, and the cat seemed to like Fiona, too. She named her Sasha and petted the furry friend daily. After a few visits Sasha would accept resting on Fiona's lap. Fiona loved nature, and animals were obviously part of nature.

Donna was in need of some advice on how to solve the household limit. The entire region, if not the entire Sim Nation, had the traditional rule of maximum 8 household members, and with her sister Fiona and their parents Sylvia and Abraham, all still staying there, it would become complicated to fill the house with kids.

- I'm not asking you and dad to move out, but how can we have more kids if the house is full?
- Oh, said Sylvia. - It sure sounds like a challenge, but you will need to find your way without breaking the law.
- So, I will need to ask Fiona to move out?
Sylvia nodded. - Yes.

August was put to bed, Sylvia took a nap on the couch, and Donna and Gerald had time to chat while Abraham cleaned the kitchen.

- Donna, would you mind if I got more involved with the Newcrest politics?
- What do you mean?, Donna asked with her mouth filled with food.
- There might be an opening for me to the hood administration if I just plan everything thoroughly...
- What will the difference be?
- Well, I could aim for the San Myshuno council if I play my cards right! Wouldn't that make you proud of me?

In the kitchen a quarrel was coming up between Abraham and Fiona. Sylvia woke up from her nap.

- This cat needs to leave our kitchen!, Abraham stated with a firm voice.
- Absolutely!, Sylvia chimed in.
- Not for as long as I'm around, Fiona protested. - Can't you see she is just hungry?

The stray cat Sasha was on the kitchen counter eating their food.

Donna joined the group.
- I'm supposed to be in charge around here, Fiona. We can't have a stray cat living in our kitchen!
- I don't see the problem, Fiona said.
- There's a child in this house, Fiona! We need to keep this place nice and clean!

Fiona grabbed Sasha, picked up her phone and ordered a pet food bowl and some more cat equipment, that were delivered shortly.

- Sasha, come, food is served!

But Sasha was already fed from the human food, and was currently taking a nap on the living room sofa.

Hm, this couldn't go on for much longer. Donna suspected she was pregnant again, and she would not allow a stray animal to spread deceases in the Clump residence.

More in a few days!
