Life went on at the Clump residence. Donna was definitely pregnant again, while thinking a lot about life in general. Seeing her dad Abraham getting older, and waiting for her mom Sylvia to become elderly - it all happened so quickly - would there be time enough for herself to see her future grandchild reaching young adult stage, like this challenge required?
Donna loved to cook, but she was not yet very skilled. Both her dad and mom were constantly at the BBQ grill or kitchen stove, preparing another group meal. With plenty of leftovers around, Gerald would accuse her for not caring enough about environment, which in the end could harm his political career.
So how could she build skills from cooking when there was absolutely no need for any more food?
- Doing fine, honey?, Gerald asked.
- Third trimester, I think...
- So, you should get yourself some rest, then.
But Donna couldn't relax. There was plenty of chores to be done. The others might flock to August to assist him, but they would never care about emptying the potty or cleaning his highchair. Would the nursery chaos expand with another baby coming soon? Donna missed finding time for practicing her singing.
That very afternoon Donna gave birth to a lovely baby girl! She was named Olivia Clump.
Little August was terrified from watching his mom giving birth, while Abraham could not put down the book he was reading, and sister Fiona hardly moved a finger there on the sofa.
Olivia had brown eyes at this point, but didn't all babies have brown eyes? And the hair color? Donna had to wait until tomorrow.
The next day Fiona found the stray cat Sasha coughing and decided to take her to the vet. There were no vets in Newcrest, so she had to travel all the way to Brindleton Bay, which was located quite far east.
Vet examined Sasha, and when they were done everything looked normal again.
- She needs someone to take good care of her, the man said.
- We all do, Fiona giggled.
- I'm serious, the Vet stated. - This cat depends on a nice family, more than any cat I've seen before, so handle her with love and care!
Sasha was already handled pretty well. She had her own bed in a corner of the living room, her food bowl in the kitchen never was empty, and in the bathroom she had her own toilet. In other words, Fiona had gradually moved the cat in with the Clumps, without even asking Donna!
Perhaps it was not ideal to keep the dirty cat toilet in a bathroom where a curious and active toddler boy like August loved to play in the toilet. But wasn't Sasha as valuable as a sister's son?
- I'll talk with Fiona tonight when I see the hair and eye color of Olivia, said Donna. - If we'll have another child, Fiona will need to leave this household.
- Good!
- And she will of course take the cat with her, too!
Meanwhile Sasha waas busy eating human food again...
More in a few days!

I'm no longer on Tumblr! I refused to give all their 3rd parties unlimited access to my computer. Link still works, but no updates.
