Welcome! :) On this blog you will find stories, how i play and videos created with The Sims 4, but also a few projects from older game versions can be found in the Archive. The old TS3 stories have their own blogs. Most long going stories have a main page with index of updates.

Check out Simmerville's Youtube channel!

I'm no longer on Tumblr! I refused to give all their 3rd parties unlimited access to my computer. Link still works, but no updates.

The Five Units Challenge - Report 34 - The final generation

Only two more reports! This one gets rather long, so I'll try keeping the text to a minimum. So much is happening when you try to rush a story to complete it before the Seasons release! I actually managed to prepare both reports before Seasons release, and the final report #35 will be out late next week!

Our main character Olivia Clump grew up, she had been dating a few guys already. Somehow the conversation felt easier with the guy she met at the romance festival, Kayson Dorman. He worked as a servant at Civic Cliffs, a dining located in Crestville (a hood in my Newcrest).

They met again at the museum next to his job. It was the perfect location for some quiet conversation.

One day Kayson proposed, and Olivia said yes!

Look who are enthusiastically witnessing the proposal from their photo on the wall; the young version of the challenge founders, Sylvia and Abraham! They are Olivia's grandparents.

Kayson moved in, and he brought his cat Whiskers.

Olivia's cat Sasha didn't mind the new household members, in particular not the furry one.

Few weeks later, Donna got a phone call from her brother Sammy. It was about their long time worry - their sister Fiona.

- She is dead!, Sammy said quietly. - She was found in a backyard this morning, the police just informed me.
- What happened?
- Drugs, he said.
- What about her daughter Nadia?
- Nadia is old enough to handle this, she will grow up shortly. To her this is probably just another bad event!

What a terrible event! But Donna was also glad that Fiona no longer had to suffer from anything they could not help her with. Although her youngest kid, Alexander had been taken away by the social workers and was now out of reach, Nadia could still make a change by contacting her distant relatives either in San Myshuno or here in Newcrest. Olivia's mom Donna had never met any of Fiona's kids, it would be about time.

Sorrow was followed by joy! Olivia and Kayson got married at a lovely ceremony in their garden.

Arranging a wedding is kind of random in this game, for instance, if the bride is planning the wedding how come she can not invite sims from the groom's list of friends? In addition to the formal guest list, each of Olivia, Kayson and Donna invited a few extras, but those guests didn't really realize they were attending a wedding. Technically the game knows very well that a wedding party is going on.

Any way, focusing on the main couple, it was all fine. They shared the wedding cake baked by Donna, and looked quite lovely.

Until the groom Kayson decided to clean the dishes! Okay, he recently got himself a new job in the culinary career, but hey man - it's *your* wedding! Leave those plates for tomorrow!

Another thing is that guests do help themselves by getting food from the fridge instead of eating the cake.

Oh well, it all calmed down when Donna decided to sing a song to the couple, a jazz tune.

When the wedding party ended, it had been a pretty nice event after all.

One fun thing about home weddings, is to clean up the following day.

There were proofs everywhere that something had been going on the night before. Kayson was at it before Olivia even left bed.

- Ouch, my stomach! We did woohoo, could it be?

No, she was just hungry!

With all these events, Donna had not had much time to tend those old garden plants.

- Oh no! Mom's old banana plant, where did it go?!!!, Donna cried.

There was only a handful surviving plants from late Sylvia's days. It might be time to reorganize those gardening plots after all.

Olivia and Kayson got pregnant, and shortly after they were due and rushed off to the hospital to give birth to their first child!

How funny, Kayson was supposed to support Olivia, but instead he sat down in the reception.

- Hey, I'll just play a quick computer game! Could you please hold back a few minutes, Olivia?

A son was born, he was named Garvin Clump.

Back home, granny Donna was thrilled, and so excited, because it was way too early to see the color of Garvin's hair and eyes. She looked forward to play with her first grandchild, no matter looks.

- You better have more kids as soon as you can!, Donna said while she was sitting in the living room with Olivia. Kayson was at work cleaning dishes in the restaurant.
- Well, I'd need to paint, cook and sing as well!
- You can do all that while you are pregnant! All that counts now is to have a child with black hair and green yes, you know! If it takes 8 kids to get a match, then be it! We're in this challenge to win, right?
- What? I don't want to have 8 kids! And there would not be room for them all anyway!
- Don't worry dear, your brothers could help by adopting a few of them to make room for new babies, if needed!

Donna shrugged, 8 grandchildren in the household would certainly be chaotic, but there would be no escape, if Olivia was unlucky.

Olivia liked motherhood, but thinking of 8 of these, made her feel bad.

Being a cat person, she felt the joy when Sasha gave birth to a lovely furry kitten. She looked to be a true copy of her mum, and they named her Whisha.

Then Garvin grew up to a toddler!

- Congratulations, Olivia! Full match on first try, that's impressive!
- Oh, we gotta celebrate this! I saved these soap bubbles from a festival for this very occasion!

Olivia was pregnant again, but knowing that she probably would avoid the 8 kids scenario was certainly worth a few bubbles!

- Yay, Garvin! Look at these lovely bubbles!

Garvin naturally got busy with Whisha. Being same age, they surely made the best pals, ha!

But he also became a big fan of granny, and loved it when Donna was looking after him. Being proud eating the same food as her...

... or witnessing how the last bit of food disappeared into granny's smiling mouth.

Donna loved playing with Garvin. Now that she had completed all required skills, and not having a job, she had lots of time on her hands. With this little fellow she felt there was not enough time in the world.

Toddlers are kind of cute, no matter what :)

Then it was time for Donnas elderly birthday. From this day it's important to play with aging on, because the challenge will only be successful if Olivia's heir maxes out those five skills while Donna is still alive. I don't think it will be possible, but if Garvin starts building skills like crazy, he might complete some of them before becoming a young adult.

Anyway, Donna felt to celebrate just a little. She invited her brothers Sammy and Rudolph, as well as the long time family friend, the elderly photographer Dorothy Flemming, for a good meal at the finer restaurant The Blue Captain, located in Gloomville's downtown area (aka Willow Creek).

They got a table in the cozy backyard.

Donna already got her gray hair and purchased a new outfit suiting her new lifestage. As she nipped to the nectar, she felt older than them all. Dorothy was very old, but still dyed her hair brown, making her look even older. Twins Sammy and Rudolph were actually a few years older than Donna, but still looked like in their best years.

- Well, let's toast to the final and best life stage! I'm already a granny, you know!

Then Dorothy suddenly left the table. Was she offended? She had no children that Donna knew of.

But no, Dorothy was obviously feeling bad. She gasped and fell to the floor!

Guests as well as employees rushed to witness the drama! It was pure chaos!

Dorothy's death was a fact, and wow did she know how to play her last part with drama! Donna looked at the old family friend both with relief and respect. Dorothy had been a close friend of Sylvia, and was known to always attend events if they included free food or drinks.

- Well, she certainly ran from the bill one last time, Donna said silently. She had brought out a blue cake, an action I never saw before when guesting a restaurant. It wasn't even ordered as a desert, and Donna never baked it at home.
- It's a pity Dorothy left before the cake!

Let's leave them while eating cake. Only one more report left. It will definitely be a rush, but as the focus will be more skill building than having new spouses and kids, it might work!

Will they make it in time, while Donna is still around? Stay tuned to find out!
