It's always fun implementing the features of a new pack with my existing universe. Finally the large lot by the pond in Newcrest, in my kingdom the hood is named Rivercrest. The perfect spot for a royal stables!
This establishment was founded by Queen Evez, who died 33 years ago. She was an eager, if not so talented, Equestrian, and she wanted to have access to a royal stable on her travels away from Del Sol Valley. Military horses were trained in Chestnut Ridge and Oasis Springs, so The Queen's Stables were not involved with military strategies, although she was an extremely military focused Monarch.
Today the stables provide lodging for Royal Guard Majors, but the lot is rigged for many purposes.
The main house facing the street is where the Majors reside.
There are only 3 suitable bedrooms, all with their own bathroom. They share other cooking and living facilities. At the moment there are 3 horses being trained for show jumping, mainly. And this lot also provide tribunes etc. for arranging the annual royal show jumping competition.
Horses always were the royal blue cover with the golden lily symbol. All horses owned by the King will wear these blankets, also under the saddle. It's their uniform.
The three horses are Luna, Rexina and Thunder, each of them being tended to by one Major. If there will ever be a situation where no Major resides here, a keeper will move in.
Above is royal Guard Major Ralph McKottin (57), he is also the current Leader of the club Equestrian Contenders.
The stables have room for 8 horses, but currently one box is used for gym exercising, frequently used by the Majors. The white door right outside the stable door is their kitchen door, so the walk over to the horses is very short indeed.
The Majors with their horses is a common sight in Newcrest, especially this hood.
A better view of the competition arena below.
Guests can access a bar area on 2nd floor. The blue seats are meant to be reserved for the royal family, but I might choose to place them on the balcony instead.
The medals will be handed out just in front of the seats.
It could o course have been much grander, but I'll mainly use it for pictures/stories anyway, and we can't arrange a horse competition without adding tons of imagination.
Below are two of the current Royal Guard Majors having breakfast and a chat in the kitchen. Alan Pudding (50, seated) and Kenneth Yardstock (51).
I can't wait to arrange the first competition with the royal family in the audience. Need to find or make some medal cc. The jumping equipment can of course be replaced, in the future there might even be some barrel racing competition here.
