Population Growth

(Year 232, Spring) Mazaloom kingdom has grown rapidly over the generations, but during the past few years it seems like population numbers have reached a peak for now. Compared to the Year 230 numbers there was actually a drop of 0,12 %.

The population was not counted in detail until recent years, but although we can not calculate the exact graph, in most regions there was a significant growth. This is not unique to Mazaloom, but goes for most nations that we can compare to. With community development living got easier, regions and districts got more specialized, and depending on desired life situation families moved to the district where they saw the greatest possibilities for them. It got easier and safer to move, as well as to sell and buy property. Recently we also got certain restrictions for Landlords - changes that for the most will benefit the tenants. Various sorts of population restriction has been debated over the years. One question is why did the 8 regions develop so differently? This can easily become one of the hot topics for the upcoming Y235 election. We have guidelines, but there is no official politics regarding population growth.

One example of strong and specific development is Del Sol Valley, the southern district of Region 12 and administrated by Meadows, San Myshuno. The area started as a sleepy industrial beach town, administrated by San Myshuno. When the Royal Palace was built at The Pinnacles, things changed a bit. In order to be close to the Monarch Plumbob Studio, originally a radio broadcaster, established. It attracted more media personalities and journalists, soon it all developed into the thriving motion picture production that we know today. The small scale industry town changed into an entertainment dynasty, making Del Sol Valley one of Mazaloom's largest districts, population wise.

The population per region decides each of the 8 regions' influence on our political system, and was the main reason for the ongoing regional reform. In the community section you can find the latest population numbers, being automatically updated whenever an indexed resident moves, dies or is born. The total population is currently 4,467,380 with San Myshuno and Del Sol Valley representing more than 50%.
