Welcome! :) On this blog you will find stories, how i play and videos created with The Sims 4, but also a few projects from older game versions can be found in the Archive. The old TS3 stories have their own blogs. Most long going stories have a main page with index of updates.

Check out Simmerville's Youtube channel!

I'm no longer on Tumblr! I refused to give all their 3rd parties unlimited access to my computer. Link still works, but no updates.

The Five Units Challenge - Report 35 - The final Rush

It's time for the final report! Will they make it in time? Will Garvin Clump manage to max out skills in painting, cooking, singing and gardening + one more - while granny Donna is still around? Phew, I worry there won't be time enough, but let's try!

Garvin was still only a toddler, and yes you have some steep stairs ahead of you, little boy! Strategy is to focus max on his toddler skills, hopefully that might get him a jump start later.

But he would also need to give room for a sibling...

Olivia was giving birth at the hospital, it's a boy again, and they named him Fred.

With two kids in the house and lots of skills to focus on, there was no way Olivia and Kayson would go for any more kids.

Olivia had to max her skills, too! She were at 8 or 9 on most of those, it shouldn't take much work reaching the 10. She painted daily, it was also their main income. And yes, the challenge also claim that the household worth to reach minimum §100.000 - they still lack more than §30.000...

At this point singing had become Olivia's main obsession. She also gave concerts, but made very little money from it.

Meanwhile, Donna spent most of her time on building the toddlers' skills.

This is Fred who grew into an adorable motor aimed toddler. He got the right genetics, and could be a good back up if there only was some more time. Donna taught him to speak.

Fred was also inspired to train his logics regularly. The cat Whisha guarded him like a furry teacher.

It was finally Garvin's child birthday! Now it will become serious as childhood opens for a lot of new skills.

Granny was still Garvin's best friend, but she was getting older. She more often left the initiative to the boy.

To prepare for building the painting skill, Garvin made a new drawing every day. I think it is different skills, but doing well in child drawing should be a good start anyway.

And, he loved to play with the karaoke set. I'm not sure where he picked up his moves, but it's probably something he watched on tv...

Birthday time again! This time Fred was old enough to start school!

And someone ate the cake leftovers and fell asleep on the dining table...

It's more fun to build skills when doing it together. Both Garvin and Fred loved the karaoke! Garvin is self-assured while Fred is a loner.

Fred also used to be an active toddler, maybe that's why he occasionally do exercise autonomously. Here he obviously fooled granny to join him, but she was too tired to keep up with him :)

Olivia had her greenhouse built, and she loved this way of benefiting from her 4th unit of the garden. A greenhouse will benefit generations to come, besides it's practical with the entrance directly from the outdoor kitchen.

Granny donna never gave up training the two boys. Doing homework didn't add directly to their skills, but was needed.

Building those school projects would probably affect some skills. Either way it was fun doing it together.

Then - Garvin became a teenager! It's time to work much harder man, you have the impossible job of maxing out 5 skills before your granny dies!!!

But, no!!! Olivia was singing in her studio when a dark fog built right in front of her. She had never seen such a black thing before, but understood that something was wrong!

It sure was! Donna had collapsed in the bathroom. I had no idea she should pass this early, she must have drawn the very least lucky card, because most of my elders live much longer than this.

Any way. This ends my Five Units Challenge. They failed big time, and I realize the goals were way to ambitious. If you want to try this, you might need to make adjustments to the challenge rules.

Thanks for following and reading these reports! The Clump household is in Newcrest to stay. They were featured in my movie «One Year in Newcrest» (link to youtube) and you will most likely see them again in the new «As Sims Go By» series.
