Welcome! :) On this blog you will find stories, how i play and videos created with The Sims 4, but also a few projects from older game versions can be found in the Archive. The old TS3 stories have their own blogs. Most long going stories have a main page with index of updates.

Check out Simmerville's Youtube channel!

I'm no longer on Tumblr! I refused to give all their 3rd parties unlimited access to my computer. Link still works, but no updates.

Region 12 NEWS for Year 228

It's been way too long since Year 228 became Year 229, and finally the annual Region 12 NEWS is up! Four minutes video with news, gossips and family notes. Antoinette Morck has quit as she moved to Henford-on-Bagley. The plan was to have her replaced, but I nwever quite got to it, so for this edition Paulo Caliente will be the only Host.

The People Chamber

(Year 229) Another year means the opening of the People Chamber. This is a mini Parliament that has the power to decide laws and what not - the absolute top of the Mazaloom community structure along with the Royal Chamber and the High Court (formerly known as The Court Chamber). I'll share more details some other time - after all there is an election coming up next year. I just built this room, so a picture thread might be in place.

The Monarch is not a member of the People Chamber, but he is the President's protector and will normally attend the opening in Spring. On this day His Royal Majesty King Tarriot will show his support to their important work. The first opening after a 5 years election will include investing the President, but the other 4 years this event is less formal.

Building a Royal Estate - Part 6

My project of building a royal estate is more or less completed. I think this will be the final update.

At this point all household members have reached their current age (Year 229). And for the first time you will meet the crown Princess and the 3 princes - oh, and the adopted half sister of the King, how could I forget about her! She is angry every day, I think she feels very much like an outsider.

This update covers the left side of the estate's 3rd floor. While 1st floor was tagged ROYAL, and 2nd floor NOBLE, 3d floor is the family's private domain.

Rerun: Mazaloom Medieval (full season 1)

Past December I made the video series Mazaloom Medieval with 5 episodes. I've still not decided whether there will be a 2nd season this Spring, real life has been quite busy. But - in case you missed it all, or like to consume a full season rather than single episodes over time, below are links to all 5 episodes.

Building a Royal Estate - Part 5

I'm nearly done with the 3rd floor, which is the royal family's private domains. So here's part 5 of my series of 6-8 weekly blog posts, this time with pictures and text on half the 3rd floor.

I'm building and equipping not only this huge estate, but I also build the family tree and back story of the royal House of Luxe-Hamper. This family held the Tredony barony for generations before they were offered the Throne after the kingdom had  been lacking a Monarch for 32 years. Today's Monarch is the grandchild of King Tybe, who was more or less head hunted for the job back then.

In case you missed the previous articles (links to the entire series end of article); I have too much CC to provide links as we go. If you see something of interest, just drop me a comment and I'll look up credits and link.

So, this is Chateau Peak located at The Pinnacles in  Del Sol Valley. If you look closely you will see King Tarriot and Queen Venezia standing on the front steps. That's right, the current King Tarriot married! This took place 19 years ago, so there are also kids coming along: In act they had 4 children + the King adopted his half-sister! So, without  servants or pets, this household already count 7 members. I wonder why I care about the servants sections at all...

Rewind: Royal Wedding

I try not to post all the details from the story I currently create for my new royal family, but how can I not share a few pictures from the wedding of the current King and Queen? After all, many of you are busy with the new My Wedding Story GP these days. I don't have that pack yet, so CC had to do the job. Wedding photos were secured, and I like how they turned out.

King Tarriot and Queen Venezia were married 19 years ago.

His Royal Majesty King Tarriot of Mazaloom (42) got his Queen Venezia (34) 19 years ago (Year 210). It was not a completely straight forward romantic journey, as most advisers suggested the bride was not noble enough for the Monarch. The fact that they were 2nd cousins was not really a topic. The Honorable Venezia Dorita Mandrake grew up in Tartosa (Region 3, Tredony) and her father was Baron Bazil de Tartosa. King Tarriot was in the position of picking his girlfriend, but would he get the much needed approval from the Royal Chamber?

Judith Ward pregnant at 64!

(Year 229, Del Sol Valley) Global moviestar Judith Ward (64) is pregnant! Last night she did nothing to hide her growing belly.

Journalists and fans hanging outside the old Studio PBP got themselves a scoop when our days' biggest star of the silver screen walked by. Wearing a rather tight outfit with a huge ribbon deco on the front, there was not really a point in asking whether the global star is expecting her second child.

Building a Royal Estate - Part 4

Here's part 4 of my series of 6-8 weekly blog posts, sharing the progress as I build a huge home for my royal family, the House of Luxe-Hamper. Here you can follow my progress as well as getting a first introduction to this family and some of their traditions.

In case you missed the previous articles; I have too much CC to provide links as we go. If you see something of interest, just drop me a comment and I'll look up credits and link.

The entrance was adjusted a bit but is not yet final. The reason I put the oval sign there is that the royal family was in fact the reason why Plumbob Pictures established their studio in Del Sol Valley. I imagine the coronation of King Tybe back in Year 150 was their very first TV production and broadcasting. I imagine someone from the royal family being their patron.

We'll check out the left side of the 2nd floor, but first I need to address the death of Queen Evez. She died suddenly at 69, and at the time her oldest son, Prince Tarriot was 31, and thankfully old enough to step right in as an active Monarch. I played his new household for a few years, but it took him 10 years until he married, so for this update just let us pretend he is still unmarried. His father, previous Prince Consort Clempus, remarried their Royal Estate Chief Attendant (Chamberlain), Mira Hoffstar. They had a daughter, and they reside at Chateau Peak, located at The Pinnacles in Del Sol Valley, where there is plenty of room for more than a single King.

Now, let's start this tour:

Rewind: King Tarriot's Coronation

Along my rapid royal journey there are a few major events that deserve attention. In year 198 Queen Evez unexpectedly died, and time had come for eldest son Tarriot Baritom Ruphus Luxe-Hamper to become Monarch. Following protocol the coronation can take place 6 months later, the earliest, and always at Royal Court on Investiture Day (1st day of Winter). The 6 months wait is to allow for any relative to protest, which was more needed in the medieval era when a family tree often involved a surprise or two. These days the line of successors will rarely be subject of debate at all. Anyway - 6 months is also giving time for the palace staff to prepare the big event that the coronation is.

This is also a good occasion for a family portrait. Some attendees naturally longed for the celebrations to follow - a grand banquet followed by mingling in the Chateau Peak salons.

Rewind: Queen Evez is dead!

I've created a huge family tree for my royal House of Luxe-Hamper. Several existing families got involved in the past, mostly the dukes and counts. The only detail remaining before I can focus on the current royal household, is to say goodbye to the previous Monarch, Queen Evez.

When a central member of the royal household passes, there is created a small oval portrait like pictured above. This portrait decorates the condolence protocol in the Grand Mazaloom Hall, where the public can access without making an appointment. Similar portraits of Queen Evez' parents, King Tybe and Queen Consort Anna  are currently displayed upstairs in the King's Tea Salon.
