Welcome! :) On this blog you will find stories, how i play and videos created with The Sims 4, but also a few projects from older game versions can be found in the Archive. The old TS3 stories have their own blogs. Most long going stories have a main page with index of updates.

Check out Simmerville's Youtube channel!

I'm no longer on Tumblr! I refused to give all their 3rd parties unlimited access to my computer. Link still works, but no updates.

Download: CC Buttons

Personality is in the details, and now your sim can show off their personal opinion by wearing a statement button on your favorite outfit! This is a free download, it should work with base game.

I created this for my own game, especially because I focused a lot on my political parties lately, and as you might have noticed on the articles leading up to my Year 230 election, many of them used a button to show off their party. But there are also lots of options with simple symbols to state an interest, environmental concern or perhaps just supporting a hobby like gardening or baseball.

Some of the 21 motifs might not make sense in other games than mine, but perhaps you can make use of it anyway :)

Technically this is a very simple overlay graphic, there is no 3D object effect and the resolution is not very good close-up. It still makes a difference, and that's good enough for me as I always missed custom buttons :) Each of the 21 motifs comes with 4 alternative positions within the same small area, so it can work on most outfits. When there is a massive collar there might be a problem, and a few outfits suggest a weird placement of the button, but it is not very hard finding good combos. If it conflicts with say a collar, just try one of the alternative placements. You will probably not sport your good cause button on your gala dress anyway, tees and casual jackets might be more natural.

The thumb is just a hand (sorry!), and swatches are not showing the exact motifs but just a related solid color. It works, but might take a little more clicking. The 4 positions are in the same order, so you will quickly learn the way to fine tune the placement.

So, go grab on my list of downloads!
