(Year 230, Winter) I decided to share more about my many households, including some details on cultural and historical aspects. I like to open up those private homes, but it might also help me sorting out further paths and needed inspiration for my own game.
6th protected family of Komorebi:
Ojo Family
Protector of the Butterfly, Protected by the Chrysanthemum, Element Imperial Grace (Royality).
The most famous member of the Ojo family might be Miko Ojo, who moved to San Myshuno long ago. Her parents are still found in Mt. Komorebi, where her old father, Nicci Ojo (82) is still the family head.

Their old monogram shows an old butterfly. They were the Protector of Butterfly since the family was founded (Year 38), it is traditionally a great honor, although it might be the lightest responsibility as the butterfly symbolizes less worries, but at the same time requires a good environment. It travels from flower to flower, like the Ojo family seem to go from karaoke bar to karaoke bar.
This family is said to origin from a Princess who was daughter of the defeated King of Komorebi in Year 40 (the Great Sloth Invasion). It can not be proven though, and today there is hardly any connection at all between the Ojo family and the Imperial Sloth family, as the Ojo currently belongs to the lowest rank of the Kurai.
The current household counts 3 generations, and granny is the most eager karaoke singer in the entire Mt. Komorebi. Their son, Kocci is in line to bring the family traditions along, and with his wife Zukade, from the Kibo family, he has 3 daughters but no son. As a male heir is required and it is illegal for any woman to have more than 3 children, the future might not look so bright, after all...
Karaoke
Karaoke is huge in the Empire of Snorthia, and it all started here in Mt. Komorebi where singing was a valuable quality. The Ojo family made it their tradition of raising singers, despite nobody ever heard a butterfly sing. Nobody believes in the cute and very old tale about a singing butterfly who guided the locals down from from the mountain during a horrible avalanche.
There used to be big singing festivals, too, but they became illegal during Emperor Ludvort's reign as he hated singing. Despite no longer being illegal, they are not officially supported either, so instead the singing houses (Karaoke) raised and are still popular.
Today the Ojo family include no professional singers, but both old Nicci and Kocci are well skilled. With a little more practice, the latter might be up to a certain concert format.
Estate
Ojo Family resides at the old Ojo House, located at Senbamachi. It is nothing spectacular, and never was. Tourists don't even know that this is the seat of a protected family, the sightseeing busses never stop there.
Current household
Nicci Ojo (82) is ranked Kurai-san, as he is head of a protected family not already ranked higher. He holds no community obligation. He works as a Salaryperson and never complains. He always wanted to explore Mt. Komorebi's wilderness, but he was never successful in doing so, and these days he is too old for the extreme sports. He likes singing, but never succeeded with that, either. He never accepted his daughter Miko for breaking with Komorebian traditions by not marrying the father of her child.
Nayko (Komodo) Ojo (81) is best known for frequenting the Karaoke bars, where she appears as a rather eccentric character due to her moderate singing capacity. She supports the bars officially, so they let her win a few contests to keep her happy. She is a romantic soul, but she is also very intellectual, and she actually prefers modern esthetics. She supports her daughter Miko who chose to break with traditions by giving birth without marrying the child's father.
Kocci Ojo (48) works as Salaryperson, like his father. Kocci is best known for his singing skills, though, and on rare occasions he might even perform in public. It was not a career choice this far, though. He got his sparkling intellect from his mother, but is focusing more on physical challenges. He can be found in the mountain occasionally, but is mostly a family man.
Zukade (Kibo) Ojo (31) is into modern technology, and at times she is obsessed with her computer although not being very smart. It obviously means she is not very good at programming etc., perhaps she favor the interest to spend time isolated from others. She is known to be a lonely soul.
Mikade (4), Miro (3) and Lolita (1) are too young for any deeper description, but they are all girls, and none of them will be allowed to become the next head of this protected family. Luckily those awaiting problems are still decades ahead...
Miko Ojo (54) is not really a member of this household, as she moved to San Myshuno years ago. There she lives at the Fashion District with her boyfriend Akira (of the Kibo family) and their son, Pecci (10). She broke with Komorebian traditions by not marrying the father of her child. The only reason she is allowed to visit her old folks, is that she is by far the best singer of this family.
Animals, Crops and Pets
The Ojo family holds no pets or animals, and the only specie grown is Chrysanthemum flowers, which is said to protect them.
