Exhibition: High Nobility Peer Crowns

(Year 235, Summer) Social Season is here, and high society gathers at various smaller events, all over the Mazaloom kingdom. Yesterday was no exception as the long hinted High Nobility Crown Exhibition opened at Casbah Gallery at Arts Quarter in San Myshuno.

Earlier his year all high nobility Peers, including their wives, were photographed wearing their high nobility crown. Updated photos were wanted for the Heirlooms index, and for the occasion all crowns had been rinsed. As a side project, the photos were converted into painted portraits of both the Peer and his wife. Now the community can admire those paintings for the very first time!

All eight high nobility Houses were represented at the exhibition, although a painting of Duke Merlin von Windenburg is not there. He was in hospital during the photo session, and is still recovering in a clinic. But 15 portraits is not bad. In addition the Peer Crowns, including Windenburg dukedom, was exhibited in each heir display case, next to the Peer painting for comparing.

The exhibition is an initiative by the Mazaloom National Museum (MNM). CEO Nancy D. Roxenfox (68) gave the welcome speech.

She stated that while most residents are familiar with their regional Peer, quite few of us have seen the valuable Peer crowns. Now that the eight crowns were rinsed, it was the perfect moment to share the shiny result. The exhibition is also a way to raise funds for MNM. The paintings can be bought by the models for §2,500 per portrait. The exhibition was supported by the Royal Palace Office (RPO).

And it's Social Seaon, so let's look for nobility in the crowd!

ooHis Grace the Duke of Rossie attendeed with the duchess. They are high nobility seving Britechester, and Henford-on-Bagley, and their portraits can be admired below.

The Rossie crown is used at  regional Court, but like some of the othher dukes, Duke Jarret wears another crown at investiture.

One of the eight crowns is rather new, crafed as late as Year 233.

When Prince Jerome, Count de Tredony broke loose from the royal House of Luxe-Hampe to found the new House de Luminoso, the crown was recrafted in order to match the new House's signature crystal and metal, assigned by the Royal Chamber.

Another dukedom had attended the exhibition opening:

Duke Victus and Duchess Gloria of Meadows were seen enjoying a couple drinks, off the busy crowd.

The painting above shows Countess Annette, wife to Count Chander of Advorton.

It will now be interesting to see how much the high nobility will bid for their portraits. Nobody can buy any painting but their own portrait, but they will be allowed to raise the price to support a good case.
