Greetings from the Stone Family (at home)

A step out of the box today. My Stone family were thrilled to find the picture seen below. Sarah Stone (right), partner Alexander Meshram, and teen son John Stone (left). Posing at a square in Nordhaven was more than they could dream of.

- We reside at Spice Market in San Myshunio, Sarah explains. - We are quite poor, and would never afford 3 tickets up north to Nordhaven. Airplane would be out of the question, so we would need to go by buss via Magnolia Promenade, Brightchester, Henford, Newcrest, and Windenburg to reach Nordhaven. That would sum up to quite a bit, so we are not likely to travel this far, making it nice seeing this "postcard" from a travel that we can only dream of.

Old Penelope Military School

(Year 232, Winter) Couple years ago, Year 230, a new private high school opened at StrangerVille Plaza, Old Penelope Military School. The lot is owned by Mazaloom Military Forces and serves as Operational Quarter including the office of Grand Marshal and more. The boarding school offer is in addition to other daily matters, and only a limited number of students are permitted.

On a rainy day of Fall a new term started, and a new student showed up: Bincky Tocker (18) from Chestnut Ridge. He did not need to travel far, but brought some belongings as this will be his new home for the coming 6 years.

At first, you might think of a Military School as a place where rather few chose to spend years of their lives. In the past, we recall students doing very poorly at school was sent off to military school. But, Old Penelope is different. This is a popular offer among teenagers who like to focus more on sports and work out than academic books. The disciplinary aspects of such a school will be a reasonable cost to most.

Mazaloom Skating Championship

(Year 231, Winter) Last night Valeria Phlum (28) from San Myshuno came 3rd in the bi-annual «Mazaloom Skating Championship». She was a favorite, as she won the gold medal 2 years ago, but now her performance was slightly underwhelming. She is currently a University student. This year another favorite won the championship, namely the long timer Sarah Woh (48) from Tredony.

Valeria Phlum won bronze.

The contest is individual, based on both talents/skills and impression/judges. There is a limit of 3 contenders from each region, meaning maximum 24 participants and a full night event as they all go two rounds. Last night only the hosting Region 12 had a full delegation, though.
