The Ugly Wickerwood - Chapter 9

Albert planned to get married yesterday, but the day didn't go according to his plans. Instead Myrhna went to work and he was left home to clean the house!

This morning he decided to jump right to it. They had not even dressed when he proposed!

- Dear, ugly Myrhna! Will you take this ring...
- Oh, Albert!
- Will you marry me? Will you become my ugly wife?
- Oh, wife? Of course I will, stupid!

- And I've got news for you... for us...
- What is that?, Albert asked, hoping she would not rush off to work even if it was her day off.
- I'm pregnant again! Hui will get a little sister or brother!
- Oh, really!? That's fantastic!

Albert was thrilled to think of an ugly sister or brother. The chances that either Hui or the new baby would look real ugly, were quite good!

Next they got dressed and rushed to the beach where Albert wanted them to get married. Myrhna jumped into a taxi, and Albert decided to run all the way to the beach. He ran in the street, feeling it was his right on his wedding day.

- I'm running to my wedding, la-la-la. I'm quite exhausted already, only 5 more blocks to go...

In the taxi Myrhna was laughing...

- Faster!, she commanded the driver.

Myrhna wanted to see how serious Albert was about the marriage. If he was very serious he would run to the beach without even taking a break. If he was real serious, he wouldn't even mention the run when he arrived, only focusing on the ceremony.

Well, Myrhna arrived the beach first. Then albert arrived in a car!?

A stolen car? And why did he leave the street, keep driving into the park area?

He drove off the terracce, through a bush, and well ... there he was!

- And the two of us forever and ever..., he said.
- If Similius wants...
- That's my favourite glove. Forever!, Albert said loudly.
- Forever!
- Ugliness!
- What?

- I love you my ugliness!, he whispered.
- Oh, you!

Then they were married, and Albert felt so much better! with a second baby coming, the ugly Wickerwood family was secured!

In the evening little Hui grew into a toddler! Myrhna really couldn't care less about his looks, while Albert worried a little.

Okay, Hui's face is pretty flat as a pancake, but would it improve? Improve in the meaning of getting even flatter?
