Welcome! :) On this blog you will find stories, how i play and videos created with The Sims 4, but also a few projects from older game versions can be found in the Archive. The old TS3 stories have their own blogs. Most long going stories have a main page with index of updates.

Check out Simmerville's Youtube channel!

I'm no longer on Tumblr! I refused to give all their 3rd parties unlimited access to my computer. Link still works, but no updates.

Households of Mt. Komorebi: Nishidake Family (+ the Imperial Council)

(Year 230, Summer) I decided to write more about the many households in my game, including some details of cultural and historical aspects. I like to share, and it might also help sorting out further paths and needed inspiration for my own game.

1st protected family of Komorebi:
Nishidake Family

Protector of the Fox, Protected by the Sunflower, Element Mountain.

This family is a branch of the family that originally had the Komorebian Royal Throne, until the Sloth Family conquered Mt. Komorebi and declared the Empire of Snorthia. The three old kingdoms, Komorebi, Simerinia and Jacothia kept existing for about 100 years under the Emperor, but with hardly any influence at all, they gradually vanished. Today the 1st Protected Family of each of the three old nations are no longer considered royals, but all but the Ming family are still around as the highest ranked families of their region.

Kaori Nishidake (16), Shigeru Nishidake (75) and Sachiko (Mashuno) Nishidake (72).

The Nishidake Family is the local family with the longest and steadiest ties to Komorebi, but their greatest pride is the mountain, Mt. Komorebi. Their old family monogram leaves no doubt. They protect the Fox, but nobody can tell fore sure whether there is still a fox in Mt. Komorebi.

Gossips #7

(Year 230, Summer) Antoinette Morck is back with gossips half way into the Social Season!

- Want some more gossips? Summer is Social Season, especially for nobility that will gather at a higher frequenzy. There are no doubt more garden parties, weddings and gala banquetes this time of year. There are normally no stately receptions or representation, allowing for the code and tone to be a bit more impulsive and relaxed. Social Season avtually has its own series of Royal Acts where Monarchs over time did adjust the guidelines. Long ago Social Season lasted longer, these days it's officially four weeks long. It's expected that all noble households throw some event, but it won't need to be a full scale ball. Three guests for a tea party in your fine garden would do. Whenever rich people get together is also high season for charity. The expectations build according to your House's noble rank, and the season always closes by the grand ball at the Royal Palace.

Households of Mt. Komorebi: Rapfelder Family (+ Nobility of Snorthia)

(Year 230, Summer) I decided to write more about the many households of my game, including some details on cultural and historical aspects. I like to share, and it might also help me sorting out further paths and needed inspiration for my own game.

2nd protected family of Simerinia:

Rapfelder Family

Protector of the Fish, Protected by the Orchid, Element Water (especially rain).

Another highly ranked Mt. Komorebi family is the Rapfelder Family, 2nd protected family of Simerinia, but since 3 generations situated at Wakaba in Mt. Komorebi. Saying that the relation between the Sloth Family and the Rapfelder Family is tense, would be an understatement. The former Emperor Ludvort hated the former Rapfelder head, Koshaku Bazar of Minges, because the latter turned the Onsen lot into a public bathhouse - right on the doorstep of the Sloth Palace. Both Ludvort and Bazar's fathers had been close friends, and Sonor Rapfelder, the 1st Koshaku of Minges, had been gifted the lot for residential purposes.

Moor Rapfelder (56), Koshaku of Minges with wife, Princess Tuna (67).

Perhaps this event is the main reason why Snorthia has no more nobility peerages?

The new Region 12 Council had their Portrait taken

(Year 230, Summer) First day of Spring we saw the election for the coming 5 years period, and this week the traditional portrait photo of the new Region 12 Council was presented! Mazaloom kingdom consists of 8 regions, each with their own regional council, but as Region 12 is the largest - both regarding geography and population - and still my main region, I focus on this region's council, only.

Region 12 Council portrait of Year 230. Seated: Mayor Dougham.
Standing (L to R): Oasis Springs Councilor Jupiter, Gloomville Councilor Crumpleton,
Brindleton Bay Councilor Silverbone, San Myshuno Councilor Vittingham.

This is the forth portrait on the Council Hall wall and it was presented by Mayor Dougham during a very brief ceremony where mainly the regional press was invited. All five Reg 12 Councilors attended and afterwards each of them were available for the press for 1 hour.

And the Bride is Amalia Ellice Luxe-Hamper Hoffstar!

(Year 230, Summer) Social Season is on, and traditionally Summer is the time for weddings - at least for high society it is! This is based on the old times when Fall was the better time for people to switch homes, and nobody moved together until they were married. Workers were often busy with harvesting in Fall, so even for them Summer was a good time *if* they could afford a celebration. These days weddings are of course less tied to rules like these, but fact is that most ties are knot in Summer, still.

However, most of society was taken by surprise when recently grown up Amalia Ellice Luxe-Hamper Hoffstar (29) announced her engagement with Robbiam de Buttercups (42)! She moved to Tartosa last year to stay at Villa Vigna, that is owned by the Mazaloom Royal Trust, and Robbiam still had base at his father's home in Tartosa, where his older brother Jackton with family has taken over.

Households of Mt. Komorebi: Sloth Family (+ the Empire of Snorthia)

(Year 230, Summer) Prepare yourself for lots of Mt. Komorebi content over the next month! I decided to write more about the many households in my game, including some details on cultural and historical aspects. Such a back carpet was always essential in my sims games. I like to share, but it might also help sorting out further paths and building needed inspiration for my own game.

His Imperial Highness Orchor, Emperor of Snorthia.

My universe covers Empire of SnorthiaKingdom of Mazaloom (my main) and Kingdom of Sea. Their cultures differ, so does their stately organization including nobility. Let's start with the households of my most recent world, Mt. Komorebi, currently the only played world of Snorthia. To avoid super long posts each will just cover one family with a few pictures and link to their family tree, but most posts will also cover various community aspects.

All these posts will get tagged #Historybook, #Historybook Snorthia, or #Historybook Sea.

Download: Military Medals to Wear

Did you ever think that your Sims in the Military career should be able to actually wear the medals they earn through promotion? We store them in the cabin, which is fine, but on some occasions it would make sense showing off your grade by actually attaching your highest graded medal to your chest.

Show off your Military grade medal!

Just a small offer, hopefully of interest to someone out there!

Mt. Komorebi - adding from other packs (two years late)

Every now and then I skipped a pack release. Both because I was too busy with my game, not really having the time to explore a new pack, or because the theme interested me only slightly. There will always be something good in a new expansion pack, but if the main content is not my cup of tea, then I'll at least skip it at full price.

With Snowy Escape it was the Winter theme that did not appeal to me. With Seasons I already had snow and Winter, and the Asian culture did not really fit with my game style, either. But this Winter I gave in as I basically wanted one more world - I had fletched out two more nations and although they will not be played in detail, everything gets easier if their land actually exists. It also  means creating backstories, family trees and making up cultural differences between the 3 nations. The basic plan is to give my royal family some same level playmates, and it also gets easier to stir up some national conflicts :)

Empire of Snorthia got its territory, but also my jet-set sims got a new vacation destiny, thanks to Mt. Komorebi. Now that I got to explore this world and pack features (scratched the surface, only), it's amazing how well this pack fits with many features from other packs!

This is he last show where you can vote within 72 hrs from release. You can vote for up to 2 favorites by posting those contestant names in a video comment, or if you don't have a Youtube account, post in the "The Bagged Talent" thread on the official TS4 forum.
