(Year 230, Summer) Antoinette Morck is back with gossips half way into the Social Season!
- Want some more gossips? Summer is Social Season, especially for nobility that will gather at a higher frequenzy. There are no doubt more garden parties, weddings and gala banquetes this time of year. There are normally no stately receptions or representation, allowing for the code and tone to be a bit more impulsive and relaxed. Social Season avtually has its own series of Royal Acts where Monarchs over time did adjust the guidelines. Long ago Social Season lasted longer, these days it's officially four weeks long. It's expected that all noble households throw some event, but it won't need to be a full scale ball. Three guests for a tea party in your fine garden would do. Whenever rich people get together is also high season for charity. The expectations build according to your House's noble rank, and the season always closes by the grand ball at the Royal Palace.
In Sol Del Valley, heart of showbiz, there exist several talent agencies. One of the bigger acencies is The Goldie Ruthfield Acting Network, Inc., founded by Goldie Ruthfield in Year194. Their main office is in San Myshuno, but they mostly operate in Del Sol Valley.
Goldie Ruthfield (82) is quite the celebrity herself, and everyone up and coming, not to speak of those who already succeeded, wants to be in the old woman's social network. Therefore, it caused quite the buzz last week when Goldie Rutfield announced that she will step down this Fall, leaving the well running business to her daughter, Gerda Ruthfield (35).
Gerda is single, but has been seen dating the San Myshuno Politician Abhrin Wusha (59), and at a recent garden party it was leaked that Garda is now engaged to Wusha! I think Washa worked as a model in his early years, but that is very long ago, and can't possibly be how these two met.
They must be very much into each other already, as they were observed busy in a dumpster - together - we all know what that means... I was expecting a quick wedding event announced, but they might not mind the social season that much as neither of them belong to nobility.
Another celebrity was seen on vacation in Mt. Komorebi recently.
Actress Judith Ward (66), currently having a busy year with two movie premiers, "Killing My Shadow" and "Best Friends Forever", obviously celebrated the results by taking a couple daysoff from husband and children. To my surprise it looks like the mature woman considered rock climbing? Wearing the totally wrong outfit? If this is the *before* photo, I'd love to se the *after* photo, too... *shrug*
A much younger shooting star is Khloe Adrian (25), who nobody heard of 6 months ago, but is now trending on the Buzz Magazine's list "Persons I'd like to drink Nectar with". Earlier this year Khloe did a great job hosting the popular "The Bagged Talent" TV show.
Here she is snowboarding in Mt. Komorebi during a break when recording for the final show.
Some call it a no-surprise that Khloe has been observed on several off-studio occasions with Simmerville Studio CEO and host of "Simmerville Show", Fritz Mervil (38). Were they only discussing her job with the show? Or a future project?
Someone sent me these snaps taken in Evergreen Harbor, and it's clearly a romance coming up!
I can't wait to find out more! I don't even know where Fritz Mervil lives, I think he owns a flat in both San Myshuno and in Evergreen Harbor. What I do know is that he is quite wealthy and a good catch for the sweet Khloe!
Now a quick stop at the royal palace!
Except from HRH King Tarriot's half sister hitting the glossy magz with her surprise wedding last week (scroll down to read more), there is not much to share from the palace Chateau Peak this time. The big party that closes this year's social season has not yet taken place.
But a few pictures of the newly renovated Throne Room was published! The Throne Room is where Monarchs get crowned and where top society residents have their investitures and knightings. But it is also where the most formal gala parties take place, being a ball or a stately banquet. Back when the palace was built the building was much smaller and they had to think smart by combining usage of rooms. Old habbits easily stick, so this room is sill equipped to serve multiple purposes.
End of Social Season nobility will pimp their gala and dance in the Throne Room. |
The Royal Court takes place annually on 1st day of Winter. This year's line-up is probably the talk at many social events this Summer, and those announced for either coronation or knighting are surely congratulated wherever they show up. There was some excitement prior to the announcement, because this court will include the final step of the ongoing adjustments to the large peerage. A few Peers with questionable peerages - such as Lords in their own right, were upgraded to barons, because Lord is not meant to be a peerage by its own right but a secondary title of dukedoms and counties, or a general title of any peer of Mazaloom's large peerage. However, the case of Lord Dominic of Deadgrass was rather complicated, as his House von Fyres held a total of 3 questionable lordships where of one was even seen as high nobility despite not having its own Order, which is normally how to tell high nobility from low nobility. Such a chaos!
We know Dominic Fyres (81) visited the royal palace several times this Spring to discuss a solution. King Tarriot wanted to make Deadgrass lordship extinct, especisally because it was held remotely anyway, and Brindleton Bay also has a dukedoom. But losing 3 lordships would call for some sort of compensation, obviously, and it was recently announced that at this year's royal court Dominic Fyres will be crowned the 1st Count von Dresden, which is ranked higher than barons. This will also allow for styling his four children. In addition his Haunt lordship was upgraded to barony last year.
Dominic Fyres is getting very old, though, and his only son still being a child will be a challange to this house as counties are not gender neutral. It might call for a distant relative administrating the county on behalf of the son, temporarily.
Other news for the next royal court are succession to the Ticktop county, as well as new knights for the orders The Royal Chamber, the High Order of the Golden Lion, and the Meadows District Order.
Not much from San Myshuno this time, except a rumor that stand up comedian Baako Jang (77) seems to be losing it.
Last Friday his comedy show at The Marble was nothing but a failure. Guests were much more busy with their food and small talk than to pay attention to Baako's old jokes.
This place is generally famous for its small stage providing ad-hoc performances and karaoke. Also being a gay friendly establishment is more essential than their quite average food. I guess that says something about how low Baako's popularity has fallen... it might be time for the old man to step back?
So, we're finally at Tartosa gossips! Nobody quite expected King Tarriot's half sister, Amalia Ellice Luxe-Hamper Hoffstar (29) to marry the slightly older Robbiam de Buttercups (42), as no sign of romance was reported previously. However, the couple makes sense, they both currently reside in Tartosa and their paths also crossed in the past.
From last week's wedding at Tartosa Chapel. |
Robbiam works as a Gardener at the royal palace, so Amalia Ellice might have met him there as a teenager. He has been residing at his family's estate in Tartosa, waiting to move out. Now the couple is said to stay at Villa Vigna until further notice. Amalia Ellice is using the villa temporarily. It is owned by the Mazaloom Royal Trust, but will probably be available until either the Crown Princess or one of the three Princes needs it when growing up.
Below is the official wedding photo ogAmalia Ellice and Robbiam. It's rather unique that the bride steps forward like this, but then we all know this bride comes with a big ego.
Also a Tartosian resident is Princess Aleccandra (61), one of the previously scandalous "party princesses". She married to Baron Sacariaz de Tartosa (57) years ago, but they have no children, leaving the barony's future at risk. Aleccandra made several efforts on building herself a creative career, mainly she tried singing and acting without succeeding. Now there is finally some good news, although it might be a bit late...
