House von Fyres Update

(Year 230, Winter) Following this year's Royal Court where Dominic Fyres was granted the newly created Dresden County, the fresh Count Dominic von Dresden paid an obligatory visit to the royal palace for a meeting with HRM King Tarriot.

Count Dominic von Dresden and HRM King Tarriot of Mazaloom.

House von Fyres was strongly affected by the recent repair of the Mazaloom great peerage, where a few older peerages were replaced with better suited titles. Dominic was having 3 illegal titles, Lord von Dresden, Lord von Haunt, and Lord of Deadgrass. Because the latter was even seen as high nobility, despites lacking its own district order, his main peerage, Lord von Dresden, was not replaced with a Baron title like the other lords were, but a brand new county. His new title is Count von Dresden. One could say he jumped 2 levels in rank, but he also gave up on 2 titles.

The old Deadgrass Lordship no longer exists. It was remotely administrated, and Deadgrass Island has been working more or less as museum grounds for decades. Because of the mistaken high nobility status, Deadgrass also had its Trust, owning the island as well as paintings and jewelries collected by previous generations. Now that the peerage is gone, the Trust needs to go as well, and it is probably the first time in history a trust is affected by the very old law directing how those old heirlooms shall be shared. Most items are of historical value, and it is logical that House von Fyres will not control it all.

The total value shall be shared 50/50 by House von Haunt and the royal House of Luxe-Hamper. Law says that House von Fyres shall choose heirlooms first, they also have the right to choose how the minor gap shall be covered, the leftover value can be paid in cash either way.

The total value is §210,750. This gives §105,375 to each share.

House von Fyres:
§111,000    Land, «Deadgrass Discoveries»
-   §5,625    Cash to House of Luxe-Hamper

§105,375    Total

House of Luxe-Hamper:

§12,500    The Mazaloom Medal of Honor, awarded Heydrid Moon, Lord of Deadgrass Year 100.
§21,250    The Blue Sapphire Parure (Earrings, Necklace)
§20,000    Mary's Diamond Bandeau
§11,250    The 9th Twinbrook Cameo Pearl Necklace
§13,000    Canopic Jar of the Eagle
§21,750    4 large painted portraits of the Deadgrass peers
+§5,625    Cash to House of Luxe-Hamper

§105,375    Total

House von Fyres: Count Dominic (81) and Countess Moira (76) von Dresden, with children Lady Ailis (14) and Lord Kalic (10).

In a press release regarding the new status of House von Fyres, it says that central household members are to be titled Count Dominic von Dresden, Countess Moira von Dresden, Lord Kalic Fyres and Lady Ailis Fyres. Lord Kalic is expected to be given the Haunt barony as courtesy title at his 15th birthday. The oldest daughters grew up long ago, they are today Baroness Morgan of Verde (House of Sax-Donnersmalt, Oasis Springs) and Siobhan F. Hump (House of Hump, San Myshuno), the latter now to be known as Lady Siobhan F. Hump.

Count Dominic states that the fact that «Deadgrass Discoveries» now switches hands, will not affect the long going rent deal involving the National Museum.

    1. Thank you! I've learned so much about nobility since implementing it long ago. Back then I made lots of mistakes, so it's good to finally repair the system.
