(Year 230, Winter) It's reported from Sea kingdom that HRH Crown Prince Longjav (33) and Lia Hauata (34) are engaged. Following traditions, there is no engagement party, but the couple will be busy seeking the old spirits' blessings by visiting spiritual locations within the kingdom.

The engagement does not come totally without controversies, though, as it seems to be part of a deal following HRM King Salomar's confiscation of the old Chiftain's Villa, where Lia has resided with her assumed grandmother, Keala Hoapili (92).
Keala's father was the last Chiftain of Sulani, but he was never blessed with sons. The old system of Chiftains died out generations ago, but Keala has kept a rather strong local position ever since, by tending the local Crypt as well as pleasing the old island spirits.
However, also the Monarch benefits from residing on spiritual grounds, as he can only obtain status of Tazal King* if he learns to communicate with those spirits. King Salomar has not yet reached that status, despite celebrating his 25th year as King this year.

The royal house of Oceanus is now fully in charge of the old Chiftain's Villa and the builds were already slightly modified. Physical possessions were never important in the Sea kingdom, and although the estate has a better standard than most Sulanian homes, it's not that obvious that this estate is home to a Monarch and his family.
Elderly Keala Hoapili will stay to serve the royal household, and will be financially provided for until her life ends. All her belongings are now on the hands of King Salomar. Also Lia, being engaged to the Crown Perince, has now the status as a servant, until they marry next year.
*) King of Sea obtains status «Tazal King of Sea» if being a regent for minimum 25 years and mastering communication with the old island Spirits.
