Gossips #13

(Year 232, Summer) This social season was packed with events and your wait is over: I'm back to serve you the gossips, and this time it's a pretty lengthy read! Welcome to my 13th edition! Let's hope the number brings good luck to everyone involved!

Oh, and do you like my new jewels? They were designed by Madam Maxim. more about that further down!

Today I have lots of stuff from the royal family!

Let's start with the very best! Or well, hopefully it's nothing serious...

HRM King Tarriot and HRH Queen Venezia guested the 15th Queen Evez Championship. Yes, that is where society dresses up a bit and where big hats seem to be more important than jewelry. This year Queen Venezia had chosen a blue full cover dress. Many of us questioned such a choice at a hot Summer event. Some even started speculating whether she is sick. The couple did not seem to enjoy the event as much as they normally do!

A few days later a couple pictures hit my desk - someone had observed King Tarriot and Queen Venezia visiting a Lawyer in Oasis Springs! Why would anyone travel this far unless they wanted to hide the visit from the press?

Queen Venezia looked rather pale when they left the office one hour later.

It remains to find out what the  lawyer visit was about. Could it be that her royal highness is very sick, and was urged to make her last will? She has no impact on the Mazaloom Royal Trust, but she owns quite a few valuable heirlooms. Speculations go on in social media these days!

Couple weeks before the Queen Evez Championship took place, Queen Venezia was also observed in Tartosa.

She was debating something with Princess Aleccandra, who is married to the queen's brother, Baron Sacariaz of Tartosa. The queen grew up in Tartosa as daughter of the previous baron, not quite matching royal levels, but love made its way back then, too. Baron Sacariaz and Princess Aleccandra have tried for children for years, but never succeeded. Could the queen be interested in taking over the barony on behalf of one of her three sons? Older peerages can't be inherited by females, but most of them can  be passed down to a male, as long as the female link is alive.

Also King Tarriot had businesses related to Tartosa lately!

He was seen in Del Sol Valley arguing with his much younger half sister, Amalia Hoffstar, Baroness de Vert. She rents Villa Vigna in Tartosa, owned by the Royal Trust. There has been rumors that the king's attempt to make Baroness Amalia respect the nectar maker family, who is renting a shed on that lot, did fail catastrophically. She has now warned them to be evicted, without the Trust's approval. Baroness Amalie is known to be a rather cruel person, making her own decisions. Despite being raised with King Tarriot's four children at he royal palace, it is no secret that she was nothing but a problem child.

The king also had a meeting with HH Princess Duella. She is married to his younger brother, HRH Prince Blaise, who recently joined the royal expedition to the Selvadoradian jungle.

The king and Princess Duella have a good relation, but why did they meet in the street at night? Did Princess Duella simply want to show off her new hairdo and new jewels?

She was also observed at the Queen Evez Championship.

Princess Duella works with Law and is not very much involved with equestrian sports, but she probably attended to support her Niece, HRH Crown Princess Emireza, who participated as this year's contestant from the royal House of Luxe-Hamper. Duella talked a bit with the man covering his face, probably Lord Bennet Ross. Right behind them we see King Tarriot greeting Duchess Ribra Lynn of Rossie, wearing a lime colored dress.

A final report from Queen Venezia's busy Summer:

The queen attended unannounced at Actress Judith Ward's little ceremony at Ward Park. The park was gifted to the Del Sol Valley community 25 years ago by Judith's 2nd husband, movie director Simerin Ward.

Although the queen showed up and even stepped in for a quick photo session, Judith paid the royal guest little attention. Some says it was a rather weird situation, but others claim that it was just a typical Judith thing and that the queen expected it. Judith will soon turn elderly, by the way. I'll try to find some more gossips involving her for my next issue!

So, that's (almost) all I got regarding the royal family. Now, let's head north to Windenburg!

We know that 3 of the royal children are currently studying at Summerfield boarding school, and just before the Queen Evez Championship started in Newcrest, Principal Hettie P. Fartingham was seen walking by the Queens Stable.

It looked like she could not care less about the nobles inside, but we all know how much she wants to be included with top society. Housing the Monarch's children is probably a solid boost to her ego, but maybe she was expecting an invite to the equestrian show? Hettie Fartingham sure has her hands full back home at Dresden in Windenburg these days. Not only does she run the boarding school targeting high nobility, but she married a RIGHT party politician and they had a baby girl.

Another issue of Windenburg is the Similius Monastery.

This picture is from Copperdale, but shows one of the monks. Elevius Dipperwell is rumored to be a candidate for the Tredony parish. This is the last year old Priest Christoph de Buttercups (78) serves the Tartosian chapel, and Church of Similius must find his replacement. Elevius Dipperwell is 59 and grew up in Newcrest. He joined the monastery aged 16, so I'll assume he should be well prepared for the job, and possible also eager to move on.

Now a quick stop in Britechester!

The university town is home to HRH Prince Blaise, HH Princess Duella, and their two children. HH Princess Evendice is now a grown up starting her university studies this Fall, and HH Prince Marquis is a teenager for a couple years more.

Someone sent me this picture showing a young man jogging in the morning, they were "pretty sure" it is Prince Marquis.

Princess Evendice will move into Maritime Manor at Foxbury while studying. It's owned by Rossie Trust which is controlled by the local Rossie dukedom (their palace is near by, in Henford-on-Bagley). The manor is probably where our Crown Princess will stay while getting her obligatory History degree in a few years.

How about a swing over to the mining community Copperdale?

Earlier this year we had the shocking news that Principal Mei Prescott was fired from her job, thanks to incorrect behavior regarding some money transfers. It is not yet confirmed whether she will be taken to court.

However, she is still stopping by at her former working space, Copperdale High. Most recently she gave a speech at the Prom, excusing her behavior to the students and advising them to follow rules and not their ego, like she did. She never admitted the criminal aspects, but I think we shall let that await a formal process.

At the pier another local was observed begging for the autograph from top politician Anaya Jang.

It was Alexander Goth, second child of Mortimer Goth. The Goth family holds long traditions in Copperdale, and Mortimer Goth was even the Principal at Copperdale High for several years. His first wife disappeared mysteriously, and his second wife claimed a divorce after only 4 years of marriage. Alexander works with Science.

A rare guest was observed at Totter Park in Copperdale last week!

This is the 3rd Koshaku of Minges, Moor Rapfelder (58), currently the only Peer in Empire of Snorthia. He is married, but they have no children. Koshaku Moor is well known by our own society as he might be the most internationally minded top ranked person of the empire.

My source tells: «He walked quietly through the park, and a freaky gardener followed him closely, maybe he knew who this man is and wanted his autograph, but lacked the courage when he wanted to ask. Or it could have been a lifeguard in disguise».

We don't know the reason for him to cross the border, but if nothing else, his visit do tell us that not everyone supports the Emperor's ongoing boycott of our Mazaloom!

So many couples not being able to have children! What's going on? And here's another couple, still hoping for a firstborn after 11 years of marriage:

San Sequoia is the home to Aarbyville dukedom. Duke Vibrattore and Duchess Prudence is the High Nobility of this region, but this far there are no children to take over after the current duke.

A local sent me a photo of Duke Vibrattore (50) riding their horse. The observant viewer can see that the duke is making this public appearance wearing his morning robe and slippers! San Sequoia might be a tad more chilled than most other regions, but being a duke will naturally set a higher standard nevertheless.

On a side note, Duchess Prudence (44) seems to respect etiquette a bit more, as she recently stated that she doesn't want to live another year without a butler!

We don't know exactly what she meant by that, but hopefully she only meant to announce that the position as Butler at Aarby Hall is now vacant.

Now, for a hottie!

Chestnut Ridge is traditionally an equestrian community, and when this man appeared at the Queen Evez Championship in Newcrest, everyone knew the horse but not the man! He is Bertin Gooseman (44), son of the legend, Don Gooseman!

He obviously did not know the dress code for this society event, but at least he brought a random hat. And, my source confirms that Bertin is single!

And this is his father, Don Gooseman, watching his son from the audience. In the past Don made great success winning most contests with the horse Duke. Nowadays Duke is very old, but came 3rd. Well done!

Talking about horses...

The horse Gloria is on everyone's lips, these days! She is a sweet beauty, owned by Count Helfert of Ticktop, residing in  Glimmerbrook.

Lately Gloria has been observed on numerous locations, often alone. With her unicorn horn it is actually hard not to notice her. She participated at the Championship, but ended outside top 3.

The other day she was seen at the Pier of Copperdale.

The blond woman riding Gloria is Severina Ember (41), who serves House de Gould.

Summer is time for graduations, also at the Butler Academy in Del Sol Valley.

This year two students could leave the school with a good grade, one bonus trait and the academy's diploma.

It is tradition that Principal Abraham Golden poses with them: Stuart Ritz and The Honorable Rosanna Rab-Saxor.

Across the street we find HH Prince Ace, Baron de Portefino (55). He had a son with wife and celebrity Suzy Sushi.

The picture was taken by Suzy, but not really intended for my gossips column. But, knowing this might be of interest to most of you, I publish it anyway! Prince Ace is a member of the royal family, but his wife and son are not.

I mentioned my new jewels...

This Summer Gallery Ex-Po, now run by The Honorable Edward von Kaching (of Gloom), started to sell jewelries crafted by Madam Maxim! That's where I got my new jewels!

On opening day the gallery was packed, and I actually observed Mrs. Flemming Mistfield, who is Queen Venezia's personal assistant. I wonder if she stopped by to shop jewelry for the queen, or if Mrs Mistfield wanted some for herself? She resides in Chestnut Ridge, with husband Roger Mistfield. The nifty bit is that while she works for the royal family, her husband just founded a political party that wants to get rid of the monarchy, eventually. They might have some interesting dinner conversations! I'd say she needs to fid a way to distract her husband from such awful ideas!

Final stop this time is Oasis Springs! (not Newcrest like the text below says...)

We congratulate Baroness Morgan for winning the Queen Evez Championship. But when she arrived on her horse, not a single soul expected that this flying baroness would even approach top 3!

The baroness was thrown of her horse near the gate, suggesting their relation was not as good as it should be. Which actually makes her great win even more impressive! It is her husband, old Baron Auphor of Verde, who used to ride their horse, but now that he is too old for intense riding, Morgan has been picking up on the equestrian interest. Verde barony holds long traditions of raising military horses.

They have a total of 3 children. They are all too young for riding, but might start out by helping in the stable.

That's all for now! See you in a wink!
