Jewelry by Madam Maxim at Gallery Ex-Po

(Year 232, Summer) This Summer Jewelry had a new Spring. All over the kingdom residents wanted a piece of what was on offer. The reason for all the attention was probably a mix of a few Crystal Crafter, and some headlines regarding the Politician's urge to regulate this business. More about the latter further down.

First we will bring a brief report from a new jewelry sale that opened this week at Gallery Ex-Po in Newcrest. They are known for assisting the aristocracy finding new owners to old heirlooms. When you want to sell something, Gallery Ex-Po will buy it, this way you will get paid immediately even when it takes a while to find a new owner. The jewelry is different, though.

They are regular jewelry pieces delivered by crafters, and for the opening day all pieces were delivered by Madam Maxim Sprucewood, who lived in Evergreen Harbor before she moved to StrangerVille.

- I'm overwhelmed! I never expected such a crowd!, said Madam Maxim.

And this day the Gallery Ex-Po really was packed.

Most pieces were sold during the first two hours. Among the customers we spotted several well known faces, such as Penny Pizzaz (above). But also Constance (Flemming) Mistfield (below), HRH's Personal Attendant, was there together with her sister-in-law, Ann Lucille (Mistfield) Bailey.

- Mrs Mistfield, are you here to shop on behalf of the queen?

- No. It's actually Ann Lucille, my sister-in-law who is in a shopping mood today. I just got myself a new ring.
- And I could not resist this beautiful Delicate Crandestine with Ironyum set, said Mrs Bailey, who is the sister of Roger Mistfield, the man who founded the Sims World party. Her son Thorne is well known, too.

Jewelry crafter have really been busy lately! Nobility would never use any of these pieces for their gala socializing, some of them could wear the more advanced designs at less formal occasion. The lacking of tiaras might be just one of several reasons. Because the value of these pieces are way below the heirlooms, only a few complete parures (necklace+earrings+ring+bracelet) are worthy of getting listed with the Jewelry index. A full set of excellent quality and at least uncommon gems might actually be worth §4,000. 

Thankfully, Mazaloom kingdom has plenty of women who love wearing their bling for most occasions. The businesses go so well these days that the few certificated crafters involved have quite the workload. Anyone can craft their own jewelry, but according to old tradition any piece crafted with uncommon or rare metal or gem can only be crafted by those who are certified. All the rest of us must focus on the common designs, but well - those gems and metals are easier accessible, too.

Over at Copperdale we find another certified crafter, Bianca Sterner (57). She is a politician and is also involved with her partner's interest in bowling.

Bianca Sterner is a Politician representing LEFT party and Crafthole at People Chamber.

Bianca runs a smaller business focusing on regular customers. Copperdale has a long tradition of mining, and it felt natural starting this business, that is a personal initiative with Bianca as the only and not really a company. She has delivered to the Old Salt House Shopping Mall in San Myshuno.

At Old Salt House they sell a wide specter of products and services including clothes, flower, toys, perfumes and Travels Agency.

- We are proud to provide jewelry, as well, stated the owner, Claudia Tangerin Mester Shine (78). - Not everyone has the time and talent to craft their own jewelry, so it feels great helping them to buy these things instead.

However, the regulation of this business is still not complete. Minister of Trades & Taxes deppartment, Fanny Silverbone (72) has no exact date for this.

- We have granted 4 certificates and we believe that will be enough for a professional level of Jewel crafters. That said, anyone can craft as long as they use common materials, only. Without the Produce Deed one will expectedly be a small scale crafter, so you can not sell through the so-called drag-and-drop method. It remains to decide whether a few designs should be copyrighted those certified or not. 

On a final note, the fact that some old Houses have their traditional family gem and/or metal does not stop others from using those same materials.
- One should respectfully try to avoid certain designs and combinations.
