(Year 234, Winter) Mazaloom kingdom got its own Prime Minister House! It was debated a couple years ago, and now the building is ready, just in time for the upcoming election.
Current Prime Minister, Mr Wilder, is too old for re-election, and he will not move in. But our future PM will stay here for as long as holding the PM position. The building is not exactly a castle, but provides good standard facilities for a Prime Minister's many working tasks, like meetings and receptions, and upstairs there is enough space for a small family to reside. Private needs will vary from period to period, and because most top politicians are quite old, children might have left the nest already.
This week there was a formal opening of Prime Minister House, that is located at Willow Field in Gloomville (Region Gloom).
Prime Minister Wilder had the honor of cutting the ribbon.
Among the attendees were Ministers and Duke Charlopold de Cavalier with wife - he is the high noble of Region Gloom. The duke also brought his butler, in order to assist the opening. The house provides a small servant section where a Housekeeper will be offered accommodation from Spring next year.
In the office (below) the future PMs can work from home. The PM has a bigger office at the Council House in Magnolia Promenade, but flexibility will be good.
Behind the office there is a meeting room.
The door in the background connects the meeting room to the servant corridor, for effective serving at meetings.
The sitting room is meant for treating official guests or meeting attendees. There might be tea servings or even bubble nectar toasts.
The idea is that PM might suggest adjustments, but that the interior is stately possession and not changing much. Likewise upstairs where PM's household resides, including a small guest suite for overnight guests. As for some furbished rented units, only small items than can be placed in a sims personal inventory, are meant to be added or removed. Anything else is meant to stay between ministers.
The group also had a quick lunch in the diningroom.
On the wall there will probably be portraits of future Prime Ministers, and maybe gifts from visitors.
Pictured above are Rebekah Starks (Minister of Health & Welfare), Duchess Luna de Cavalier, Duke Charlopold de Cavalier, and their butler.
Fanny Silverbone (Minister of Trades & Taxes), Charlotta Crumpleton (Gloomville Mayor), and Roger Mistfield (RIGHT party's leader).
Prime Minister Rob Wilder enjoys some cake while hosting the opening event. Wilder and wife, Mrs Holly Alto) will never move in here at PM House, as he gets replaced shortly.
