Details from the Year 235 Election

(Year 235, Spring) This election was the closest ever! If you plan to watch the 14 minutes TV-special, please stop reading, because this report will obviously include numerous spoilers.

Election TV special was hosted by Paulo Caliente and Cassandra G. Mux-Raisser.

We technically got TWO winning parties, but thanks to the rule saying the total vote score of a party's new Councilors will deside if needed, we were able to pick a final winner. There have been debates suggesting that the number of won regions would make the final count easier, and this might be implemented for future elections, but for the Year 235 this would not have changed anything as RIGHT won 4 regions and LEFT won 3. The 8th region was won by MIDDLE party.

While RIGHT party was announced victory, their top candidate, Mr. Charloman C. Dougham, will become our next Prime Minister only if he manage to form a winning group representing minimum 11 seats at People Chamber. RIGHT party won only 9 of hose seats, so he depends on the preferred partner Church of Similius, with 1 seat, and also the MIDDLE party with 1 seat. The fact that it takes 3 parties to gather the 11 seats might make it harder for RIGHT to dominate the politics, but at least the number of needed exra seats could hardly be smaller. And, Church of Similius has no political program.

The morning after Election Day it was announced that both Church of Similius and MIDDLE party have agreed joining the winning group. It means MIDDLE party's Leader, Rebekah Starks, will probably claim one of the 5 minister posts, while Church of Similius, not being part of the election, might have less initial claims. They don't really have a political role, and will never lead a ministry. The final layout for all seats will be ready in a couple days.

The full result from the election is RIGHT 9 seats (down from 10), LEFT 9 seats (up from 7), MIDDLE 1 seat (down from 2), WORLD 1 seat (new). And Church of Similius 1 seat (down from 2). Seats are won by the Councilors, but Councilors don't automatically get a seat at People Chamber.

This was the first time all districts had minimum 1 candidate for Mayor, but although we got a 4th political party, only 4 districs had candidates for all parties. Only 2 districts had just 1 candidate, making them easy wins for LEFT party.

On a district/region level, RIGHT party won x Mayors, LEFT won x, MIDDLE won 2, and WORLD won 1. The following residents won one or more positions:

Region Windenburg:

Windenburg is traditionally a RIGHT party region, again getting the Councilor.

Henrik Kraft is Windenburg Mayor and their regional Councilor. Will he also lead a Ministry?

RIGHT: Henrik Kraft (61)
Windenburg Mayor and Windenburg Councilor
Kraft was re-elected by outscoring his rivals with ease. He is RIGHT's 4th candidate for a chamber seat and is likely to lead one of the ministries.

LEFT: Mr. Marvin (Robinson) Hyggeloth (68)
Nordhaven Mayor
Hyggeloth is the first ever Nordhaven Mayor. He is LEFT's 3rd candidate for a chamber seat.

Region Rossie:

No surprises in this region, as both Mayor were re-eleced and got plenty more votes than their rivals.

Mr. Jurton Summerton is the Britechester Mayor and Rossie Councilor. He is Head of House of Summerton.

LEFT: Mr. Jurton Summerton (48)
Britechester Mayor and Rossie Councilor
Summerton was re-elected. He is LEFT's 5th candidate for a chamber seat.

RIGHT: Lord Bennet Ross (50)
Henford Mayor
Ross was re-elected. He is RIGHT's 3rd candidate for a chamber seat and is likely to lead one of the five ministries.

Region Tredony:

This was one of the more exciting regions this year, because it was the first Mayor election in Del Sol Valley, expected to end the traditional LEFT dominance. Besides, both Tredony and Tartosa had LEFT candidates running for the first time. Mrs. Porportoza was in fact Tredony's only candidate. She won the Councilor, but not by a huge margin.

Mrs. Aronica dP. Pepperstone is the Tredony (Bellacorde) Mayor and Tredony Councilor.

RIGHT: Emma R. Golden (65)
Del Sol Valley Mayor
Golden was previously Tartosa Mayor, before moving to Del Sol Valley. She is RIGHT's 2nd candidate for a chamer seat and will probably lead one of the five ministries.

LEFT: Mrs. Aronica dP. Pepperstone (61)
Tredony Mayor and Tredony Councilor
Pepperstone, wife of former Prime Minister Laurent Pepperstone, moved to Bellacorde where she has her roots, in order to enter politics. If she had resided the same distric as her husband they could not have been candidates for the same political party. Ironically, Laurent Pepperstone lost the run for San Sequoia Mayor, while Aronica got a seat at the Mazaloom Council. She is LEFT's 6th candidate for a chamber seat.

LEFT: Mr. Jackton de Buttercups (50)
Tartosa Mayor
He is rather fresh in politics, and is not ranked high enough for a chamber seat.

Region Crafthole:

A strong RIGHT party region. It was the first election after the regional reform, that affected Crafthole quite deeply. Both districts were well represented by all 4 parties (MIDDLE lacking a runner in Ravenwood), and RIGHT party got the Councilor as well as both district Mayors, but votes were yet moderate.

Roger Lockerbud is re-elected for Copperdale Mayor as well as Crafthole Councilor.

RIGHT: Mr. Shiftolph Heighwood (47)
Ravenwood Mayor
Heighwood is RIGHT's 8th candidate for a chamber seat.

RIGHT: Roger Lockerbud (68)
Copperdale Mayor and Crafthole Councilor
Lockerbud was re-elected for the Mayor position, but he is not ranked high enough by RIGHT party for a chamber seat.

Region San Myshuno:

This was also the first election where the city of San Myshuno elected two Mayors, one for each district. 5 years ago, San Myshuno was not yet their own region, including Prome. The voting keeps following raditional patterns, so no big surprises here. Jang was by far the most popular Politician.

Anaya Jang is the Myshuno Mayor and San Myshuno Councilor, with a seat at People Chamber.

LEFT: Anaya Jang (69)
Myshuno Mayor and San Myshuno Councilor
Jang was re-elected, she had a chamber seat for several periods. Now she is LEFT's top candidate, meaning she will likely replace retired Fanny Silverbone as the opposition Leader.

RIGHT: Mr. Nivert Hump (62)
Meadows Mayor
Hump is a DNA specialist, now entering politics with a certain success. He is not ranked high enough to qualify for one of RIGHT's chamber seats.

RIGHT: Cato Wugger (60)
Prome Mayor
Wugger is experienced with local polics. This year RIGHT ranks him 5th for a chamber seat, it might result in a Minister post.

Region Aarbyville:

No surprises here either, RIGHT and MIDDLE got it again.

Mr. Vincent de Croismare, Baron of Man, is the San Sequoia Mayor and Aarbyville Councilor.

MIDDLE: Mr. Vincent de Croismare (48)
San Sequoia Mayor and Aarbyville Councilor
de Croismare, aka Baron of Man, was re-elected. While he was the only candidate winning a seat for MIDDLE party, the seat will be filled by MIDDLE party's top candidate, Rebekah Starks.

RIGHT: Morgino Gibbi (43)
Gibbi Point Mayor
Gibbi is son of the former Gibbi Point Mayor, and desbite being a fresh politician, RIGHT party ranks him 7th for a chamber seat.

Region Advorton:

Being the new WORLD party''s cradle, there was some suspence seeing whether they would get the Councilor post, but no. They won the Chestnut Ridge Mayor, but that was all. RIGHT's Mrs. Jupitor from Oasis Springs got the Advorton Councilor post, but MIDDLE's Orwing were not far back.

Mrs. Razira Jupiter is the Oasis Springs Mayor and Advorton Councilor. She is Head of House of Jupiter.

RIGHT: Mrs. Razira Jupiter (57)
Oasis Springs Mayor and Advorton Councilor
Jupiter is a long timer, also with experience from People Chamber. RIGHT ranks her 6th for a seat, meaning she might even get a Minister post.

MIDDLE: Linda Orwing (59)
Ciudad Enamorada Mayor
Orwing is not ranked for a chamber seat.

WORLD: Roger Mistfield (70)
Chestnut Ridge Mayor
Mistfield foundeed WORLD party, but the party did not do as well as predicted. This is their only Mayor win, meaning they won  no chamber seat, but were saved by the "nuller seat". Mistfield is naturally WORLD's top candidate, giving him a chamber seat as part of the opposition.

LEFT: Paolo (Rocco) Grossing (52)
StrangerVille Mayor
Grossing was a Hood contact in Gloomville for a couple periods before his household moved t StrangerVille. LEFT ranks him 7th for a chamber seat.

Region Gloom:

Traditionally RIGHT's region, and no surprise that all 4 Mayors were re-elected. It was Evergreen Harbor's very first Mayor election, which stirred some interest, but MIDDLE party was always expected to win. On a side not, Mr. Dougham'd amazing vote score of 116 might be an all time record.

Mr. Charloman C. Dougham is Newcrest Mayor, Gloom Councilor and the new Mazaloom Prime Minister.

RIGHT: Mr. Charloman (Crumpleton) Dougham (62)
Newcrest Mayor, Gloom Councilor and Prime Minister
Dougham is among our most experienced politicians, and he was predicted a win. Although the race got a bet more even than predicted, he now reaches the top position, Prime Minister. The Gloom Councilor was obviously getting the most votes (116 is way beyond the average), but it was not yet confirmed whether Dougham will keep the Council Leader position, which might conflict a little with his Prime Minister position. He might pass it on to the 2nd Councilor.

RIGHT: Mrs Charlotta Crumpleton (68)
Gloom Mayor
Crumpleton is the sister of Mr. Dougham, and probably due to critics, she is not ranked for a chamber seat. Technically they could have been on People Chamber but in different ministries, but many see it as even better not allowing siblings. The Pepperstone couple meets similar critics, but will likely work separately.

RIGHT: Baroness Elvira de Sür-Blyth (51)
Brindleton Mayor
She is quite experienced with local politics. RIGHT ranks her outside their top 9 though, meaning she won't have a chamber seat.

MIDDLE: Rebekah Starks (48)
Evergreen Harbor Mayor
Leading the MIDDLE party including several periods on People Chamber, she is among our most experienced politicians. Because RIGHT party depends on the 1 seat won by MIDDLE, we might see Starks as a Minister despite representing a very small party. MIDDLE used to have 2 seats, now they won only 1 seat.
