Scandal in Evergreen Harbor

(Year 234, Winter) This week Evergreen Harbor woke up to a new local scandal, as a central household seems to break up. Yasemin (Pigulock) Tinker (55) and Tina (Chestnut) Tinker (48) has been residing the old Pigulock Manor for decades, and their daughter Olive Tinker has already turned 16.

The couple has been well known for their ECO lifestyle, and especially Tina has fronted all that the modern Evergreen Harbor is known for. On the other side, Yasemin, is the daughter of long gone industry mogul Henry Pigulock. Now she has announced that she wants to bring the old Pigulock Industries, Inc. back to life!

Yasemin has adapted the ECO friendly look on life, and she plays a big role in bringing this district forward in a greener direction. Both Yasemin and Tina has supported the green MIDDLE party, but when the candidates were released a while ago, only Tina was on that list. Yasemin was found on the RIGHT party's list, indicating she now supports business and profit over ecology.

This is said to be the main reason why the household is now splitting.

Yasemin explains that her late father's old company, founded back in Year 156, was never completely closed down. There was no production but the sleeping company had a board and financial muscles that will now return to production.

- The compan owns two lots at Port Promise, The Waterfront and the Shipping View, Yasemin Pigulock explains. - The Maker Center that has been under development since long will now be reverted into a factory instead. There is no need for two Maker centers in Evergreen Harbor, instead that concept should be established in another district. Our factory ground will benefit from this good harbor, and this will make for many new jobs in Evergreen Harbor. We need businesses, we can't mke a living on ECO-ness alone.

However, the new Pigulock Industries will not cause as much polution as back in the old days. Yasemin and her board want to split the production in two. One half will focus on fabrication based on local knowledge and reused materials, including stuff based on wastes. The other half will focus on imported furniture, also known as CC.

- I am not very experienced with fabrication, I spent more time on writing my novels. But this business shall not only depend on my efforts. Tina has rejected an offer to join the company, but there will be others with great skills. When it comes to imported goods, it might depend a bit on rthe upcoming election. There are politicians wanting less import, while others want more. Pigulock Industries might have a role in this regardless of direction, because some instance will need to control the import anyway.

Yasemin will keep Pigulock Manor, as is her family estate. It is not yet decided whether Tina moves out, and neither where their daughter Olive will stay.

- I'm glad she is a teenager and can be involved in that decision, Yasemine adds.

While Yasemin Pigulock now supports the RIGHT party, and runs for Evergreen Harbor Mayor, Tina Tinker has taken a step back.

She still supports the MIDDLE party, but as the party's leader, Rebekah Starks runs for Mayor, there was no available post on the list of candidates, as you can only run for the district where you reside. If Tina moves to a different district, she might run 5 years from now, but the break-up came too late for next week's election.
