In my Region 12 there are numerous famous persons, but not all are Actors or Artists. Also Politicians, Priests and Nobility get some fame stars, as I use the fame system as a tool affecting much more than performing arts.
Read on to see my guidelines.
First, to become a global celebrity you will still need to have fame ambitions. I never hand out 5 stars to anyone, they will need to work for it, real hard. Judith Ward is my only global star, and she will rule the top of those lists for quite some time.
I use the lower 3 levels for my community fame - simply because I find it logical that a Mayor, a Duchess or a Priest get recognized by strangers, who might even run up to ask for an autograph.
In addition to giving out stars, I also use rules regarding how easily their fame shall fade. I mean, once a Duke always a Duke. You really don't need to go out on the street to make fans faint in order to stay recognized.
So, here's how I add stars:
1 star:
- Max Social Status (6). This is based on my on-the-side DNA system which gets too tedious to explain here, but basically it means that someone born into a wealthy and well respected family gets 1 star by birth. You simply get a good start in life, lets call it goodwill, but as it is normally gone before you even start school, it gets more like inspiration than real fame.
Fading: Fades naturally.
- Lord/Lady. Achieved either by birth (Child of a Duke or Baron), or at coronation (when becoming Peer, or marry the Peer, of the Lord/Lady peerage).
Fading: Stuck for as long as the person resides the main property of the peerage. So, Lord of Rossie will have (minimum) 1 star for as long as he lives at Rossie Castle. If moving out fame will start fading naturally.
- Councillor. Anyone being their district's Councillor, meaning they are one of the five members of the Region 12 Council, gets 1 star.
Fading: Fades naturally. Is a direct result of the election, and the Politician must make sure to give speeches and meet "fans" to keep or build fame.
2 stars:
- Baron/Baroness. Achieved either at birth (Oldest son of a Duke gets the Baron title at birth), or at coronation (when becoming Peer, or marry to Peer, of the Barony).
Fading: Stuck for as long as the person resides the main property of the peerage. If moving out fame will start fading naturally.
- Mayor. The one Councillor winning the Mayor election gets 2 fame stars on election day.
Fading: Naturally, but never below 1 star.
- Councillor reelected. Anyone being their district's Councillor for their 2nd period, gets 2 stars on election day.
Fading: Fades naturally, but never below 1 star. The Politician must make sure to give speeches and meet "fans" to keep or build fame.
- Priest of Church of Similius. Achieved on the day of ordiniding.
Fading: Naturally, but never below 1 star.
3 stars:
- Duke/Duchess. Achieved at coronation (when becoming Peer, or marry to Peer, of the Dukedom).
Fading: Stuck for as long as the person resides the main property of the peerage. For example, Duke Aquess de Cavalier stays a 3 stars celebrity while residing Chateau Cavalier. If moving out fame will start fading naturally.
- Mayor reelected. The one Councillor winning the Mayor election for 2nd period (or longer) gets 3 fame stars on election day. The idea is that a Mayor is more famous than a Councilor, and after the first round (5 years) you get an even bigger celebrity as more residents recognizes you on the street.
Fading: Naturally, but never below 2 star.
I use UI Cheat to adjust the fame level as needed.
Welcome! :) On this blog you will find stories, how i play and videos created with The Sims 4, but also a few projects from older game versions can be found in the Archive. The old TS3 stories have their own blogs. Most long going stories have a main page with index of updates.
Check out Simmerville's Youtube channel!
I'm no longer on Tumblr! I refused to give all their 3rd parties unlimited access to my computer. Link still works, but no updates.
