Welcome! :) On this blog you will find stories, how i play and videos created with The Sims 4, but also a few projects from older game versions can be found in the Archive. The old TS3 stories have their own blogs. Most long going stories have a main page with index of updates.

Check out Simmerville's Youtube channel!

I'm no longer on Tumblr! I refused to give all their 3rd parties unlimited access to my computer. Link still works, but no updates.

Nobility - the High Orders

Part of my nobility implementation, is the refined community structure. By making history notes all the way back to the beginning at Year 1, seeing how a distant King and his high nobility system paved the ground for today's political system, was very interesting. One aspect of this all, was the fact that residents who did something extraordinary for the community, would be rewarded by the King, or by the Sovereign of each district's high nobility peerage. These medals are recolors that can be downloaded - see end of article.

You might recall that Duchess Claudine de Cavalier recently was honored with "The National Sprout"? All orders granted by the Monarch are dealt with on 1st Day of Winter. Some of the orders hold annual gatherings - normally a gala dinner where the new member is guest of honor.

Here's all you need to know about all existing High Orders in my game! Members will be listed on my Community Site eventually.

Let's start with dividing these orders into two groups: The merit orders and the district orders.

High Orders of Merit
There are just 3 merit orders where the Royal sovereign decides who to be rewarded. The highest ranked order of them all is actually "The High Order of King Baltazar II" (commonly called "The Baltazar"), which is given to every member of The Royal Chamber. This is more class confirmation than merit, though, as the top nobility will be part of the Chamber on rotation. So, let's rather focus on the merit orders that rank 2 to 4:

High Order of Warriors
(Est. by King Baltazar II in Year 5)
Sovereign: Royal sovereign.
Limit of members: 10, life-long.

This is given to residents who perform extraordinary efforts in the Military career. It used to associate with ended wars, but these days Military is also involved with conflicts and negotiations of a more peaceful - or at least digital and technical - nature.
The new member receives a red sash and a gold medal (pictured) with a ribbon that is white with two vertical red stripes. This is the only way a non-noble person can gain a sash!
Use: The sash can only be worn with Military uniform. Medal is less strict.

Order of the Golden Lion (aka "The Lion")
(Est. by King Rupert I in Year 45)
Sovereign: Royal sovereign.
Limit of members: 10, life-long.

This honor is given to residents who do an extraordinary effort for the community, mostly within (but not restricted to) Business, Medicine, Science or Culture. It's basically used to encourage the positive and big efforts. The limited number of members makes this Order very exclusive.
The new member receives a blue medal with the golden lion. Ribbon is blue with two vertical red/white stripes. No sash.
Use: On or off sash. Gala, Formal representation, Memorial Day events.

Order of the Sprout (aka "The National Sprout")
(Est. by King Baltazar II in Year 5)
Sovereign: Royal sovereign.
Limit of members: 10, life-long.

This is given to residents who do an extraordinary effort within agriculture or public gardening. The criteria are wide, but with the limited number of members at any given time, you will need to execute quite big projects in order to get considered for "The National Sprout".
The new member receives a green medal with a golden flower. Ribbon is green with two vertical red/white stripes. No sash.
Use: On or off sash. Gala, Formal representation.

All memberships are life-long.

District Orders
Many districts (=worlds) have their own District Order, normally affiliated with and administrated by the highest ranked Peerage of that district. All dukedoms control such an order, most counties, and a few baronies, even. These sovereigns and their houses are considered High Nobility, and are given a medal to show that they are the highest ranked sovereign of that district (they will also have a diagonal sash bottom-right on their residents registry portrait).

Here are the current medals for some districts in regions 1, 2 and 12. There exist similar medals for more districts of other regions, but this phenomena is most common for Region 12:

Windenburg District Order (aka "Windenburg High")
(Est. by King Baltazar II in Year 2, and gifted to Bavarian Heimlich)
Sovereign: The Duke von Windenburg, who receives a gold medal with ribbon colored blue with two vertical grey stripes.

Members are knighted by the Duke. Normally the Duke, Duchess and Baron (first in line to peerage) are obvious members. Each district might have a friendship district, meaning that district's high nobility couple might be members, too. The members are invited to a gala dinner every year in Winter.
The new member receives a pale blue sash.

Rossie District Order (aka "The Red Rose")

These medals are recolors of Granny's Chips Brooch by BatsFromWesteros. Want them in your game? I'll upload them shortly, just need to update my Sims4Studio as I patched yesterday. Check back later this week! If you are on tumblr, I'll post there (https://simmervillessims.tumblr.com).
