(Council House, Year 225) It's already been a while since the election, and it's time to present to you the new Region 12 Council. Bud von Kaching was not running for another period due to age, and the RIGHT party chose to withdraw their support for Victor F. Tangerin, probably as a result of him being sued for murder some yeas ago. Although he was found not guilty, the court case harmed his popularity.
So, for the next 5 years we have 2 new Councilors, representing Gloomville and San Myshuno!
The mix of parties is the same as before, RIGHT party has 3 Councilors, LEFT party has 2, and MIDDLE has 0. This does not mean that RIGHT party politics will win and MIDDLE party is not represented, because while some of the Councilors do represent one party, they might also represent a district where the main N.A.P. is from a different party. Silverbone represents the LEFT party while Brindleton Bay's main N.A.P. is from the MIDDLE party. Dougham represents the RIGHT party, while he is the Newcrest Councilor and Newcrest's N.A.P.s are dominated by the LEFT party. This will of course affect their voting, as it should be a balance between the party, the N.A.P. and their personal opinions. The other three will probably be stronger voices as each of them won't need to vote on behalf of several parties.

This is Dougham's 4th period on the Council, and his 2nd as Region 12's Mayor. He has a background from a successful Business career, and is married to Corinne Dougham, Lady Crestville. They have 3 children (triplets) aged 14.
Party: RIGHT - District: San Myshuno - BIO
Phlum ran for election also 5 yeas ago, but this time there were no rivals stopping him. He is a very successful business man, seriously involved with the online Plopsy concept. He grew up in San Myshuno's Uptown, where his father was the Butler for the Carrington family. Phlum is married to Dr. Lucille (Carrington), and they have two children aged 25 and 22.
Party: LEFT - District: Oasis Springs - BIO
This is Rosewood's 8th period, making him the real veteran. For the last 15 years he had the Culture & Entertainment Dept. He is now elderly, but was allowed to run as he was still an Adult on Nomination Day, and this will definitely be his final period on the Council. He is married to Florist Ona Rosewood, and they have 2 grown up children.
Part: MIDDLE - District: Brindleton Bay - BIO
Silverbone never planned a political career, but this is her 3rd period on the Region 12 Council! She had the same department all the time, and was the only female Councilor for two periods, but that has finally changed! She runs a farm in Brindleton, with her husband George D. Silverbone, and they have a son (starting school this year) and numerous dogs and a cat.
Party: RIGHT - District: Gloomville - BIO
This is Crumpleton's first period on the Council, but she might still feel at home as Mayor Dougham is actually her younger brother. She had a Business career for some years, but has been a rather shy person. She is expected to focus more on education than science, but both fields are of course in need of her attention. She resides in Upperton, Gloomville, same hood as the Councilor she is replacing - Bun von Kaching, Baron Gloom. They are distantly related, as they both hail from the House of Brixerwood, who used to hold the Gloom Barony some generations ago. Crumpleton is no longer of nobility status, though. She lives with her husband Gunther M., their two toddler sons and Crumpleton's late mother's two old Siamese cats.
