(Year 225) The rumor was already spreading, and today House von Kaching finally confirmed that their only son and main heir to the Gloom barony, Lord Edward Be. von Kaching (44) and Lady Merielle de Cavalier (32) are engaged.
The happy couple are currently both staying at Moss Dorm at Gibbs Hill in Rossie/Britechester. This is a dorm especially suited for nobility, and also Lady Merielle's two brothers currently stay there.
Lord Edward will get his Economics degree next Summer, while Lady Merielle will study Psychology for two more years. The press release says nothing about whether the couple will move together elsewhere or wait until both are graduated, but the wedding will probably not take place until Year 227.Lord Edward is first in line of successors to replace his father, Baron Bud of Gloom. He might spend the next couple years preparing for this task, but will also focus more on his business career.
Lady Merielle was planning a career in Psychology or Education, but that was before she knew she will become the next Baroness of Gloom.
Everyone knows it brings bad luck seeing a scull in your wedding photo. Nobody realized the grey vase was actually a scull vase, until seeing it on the photo. Lady Merielle only giggled and promised they will be more careful for their wedding photo, hoping the old saying is not in effect for engagements, too.
