Switched at Birth

 (Year 225) If you followed my video series As sims Go By, you might recall that a certain event took place at Gloomville Hospital about 5 years ago. Because the upcoming third season of this series will focus on the story of fewer households, and this event will only be mentioned subtly, I figured it might be okay addressing it all here on the blog.

Simandus Silverbone has been returned to his biological parents in Brindleton Bay.

Spring of year 220 both Fanny Silverbone and Claudia Tangerin, Lady Shine gave birth to a son. Claudia had a ongoing thing with a lover, her husband's political rival, Edvin Phlum. Becauase she kind of blackmailed him, she feared the chance of her son getting his father's white eyes syndrome, which would of course have spoiled her lie completely. Making this complicated story short, Claudia switched the two baby boys before leaving the hospital. It harmed her marriage when Baldwin Tazar Tangerin grew up to toddler, unveiling his red hair and brown eyes - genetics that did not match with neither Claudia nor Victor.

Over at Sable Square in Brindleton Bay the son of George D. and Fanny Silverbone turned out to have white eyes and black hair, resulting in many visits to DNA specialist Dr. Hump. They kind of had to accept that Simandus Silverbone would be known as the white eyed farmer son.

Did Fanny and George fear new genetic surprises, as they invited no guests for Simandus' birthday?

Well, the switch has now been reversed! Claudia Tangerin, who is pushing elderhood, realized that her real son is her only heir. She has no peerage, only the social noble title, Lady Shine, but she is of noble heritage and with the help from her friend, Corinne Dougham Lady Crestville, she contacted Gloomville Hospital, suggesting the hospital must have done a horrible mistake, and unless it was looked into she would sue the hospital big time!

Baldwin Tazar was returned to his biological parents at Uptown in San Myshuno.

The hospital managed to combine the Tangerin case with the well established Silverbone case, and the two boys were shortly re-switched. The Silverbone family did not get to know what othr family had been involved, and Claudia did not really know either, as she had grabbed a random baby back then.

They held a very private birthday party, too.

The boys got a new set of parents, and it might be confusing, but luckily they were still just toddlers. This year they both had their child birthday, and started school. And nobody know for sure whether such a switch might hold future consequences...
