Calendar Year 226

A new year just started in my Region 12, and the high nobility houses share headlights from their events calendar Year 226. The year is roughly planned a year in advance, making it easier for their busy network to reserve certain dates for the upcoming celebrations, and to avoid that big events conflict. Most events are set for a season rather than a specific date, details will be shared later in formal invitations. Each district will normally host one or two major events per year, and most houses will accept only one invitation per season.

This year we will see the coronation of Duke de Cavalier. The event will of course be smaller than a royal crowning would have been, but still important and worth celebrating with guests.

New Dimension Day (2nd Sunday of Fall) will this year be arranged for the 125th time. Hosted by the regional council, but also with arrangements in each district.

More details can be found below. Low nobility might get listed if they have big events such as weddings, birth, death or a new peer. The full calendars are available in the community section. Here is the major lineup - including some events to ne reported on this blog - for the upcoming sim year 226:

San Myshuno covers two districts; Meadows (Meadows, Fashion District, Upperton) and Myshuno (Spice Market, Arts Quarter) which are split by the Myshuno River. Meadows also includes Magnolia Promenade, which is home to low nobility Lord of Prome, held by the House of Rab-Saxor.

House of Saxor (SM)

Duchess Gloria turns 70 years old in Summer, and a celebration was announced in accordance with the 84th District Order Gala Dinner.

In Fall the Duke and Duchess will make an official visit to Oasis Springs, where Duke Victus' father is Baron Auphor of Verde. The couple will stay at Yuma Height and will attend Farmers' Festival which this year's main host is Oasis Springs.

In Winter, Duchess Gloria will attend the 25th anniversary of Casbah Gallery, as their Patron.

Sovereign: Duke Victus of Meadows

Meadows District Order will host its annual gala dinner at Torendi Tower Penthouse in Summer. This year the gala dinner will be combined with Duchess Gloria's 70 years birthday celebrations.

House of Thebe

The late Robert Thebe had the Myshuno Barony, but he left only two daughters who married into other families, and House of Thebe has now expired. One daughter is currently Duchess Ribra Lynn of Rossie, and the other married to Priest Dipperwell of the Church of Similius. Ribra Lynn's oldest son will soon get Myshuno Barony, meaning the House of Ross will establish also in San Myshuno. It is not yet known whether Rainert Ross (24) will keep elements of his grandfather's Coat of Arms, but he will most likely reside at Fountainbleu Penthouse at Arts Quarter. He might even decide to change his last name in order to diverse from House of Ross, who is based in Rossie. Focus on these details are expected next year.

Sovereign: ...

Myshuno District Order is dormant while the Myshuno Barony awaits the new baron to reach 25 years, which is the earliest age for coronation. Good news is that the waiting will be over in just 1 year - but no major events this year. This year it's 75 years since the order was founded, such a pity the anniversary will go unnoticed.

Brindleton's two high nobility peerages are the Dukedom de Cavalier (Sable Square, Cavalier Cove) and Deadgrass Lordship (Whiskerman's Wharf, Deadgrass Isle).

House de Cavalier

This Spring Duke Aquess celebrates his 80th birthday with a reception at Chateau Cavalier.

In Winter we'll see the crowning of Duke Charlopold Demitris de Cavalier - as his elderly parents retire. The coronation will take place on Investiture Day, as the old Duke can celebrate 50 years as Sovereign of the dukedom.

House von Fyres
Siobhan (Fyres) Hump (43) | Baroness Morgan of Verde (33) | Ms Ailis Fyres (10) | Mr Kalic Fyres (6)

Dominic Fyres is the current Lord of Deadgrass. He is also Lord von Dresden and von Haunt (Windenburg). Lord Deadgrass is Region 12's only Lord that is ranked high nobility, which is unique also in SimNation.

Just one minor event at Deadgrass Island this year, in celebration of the annual Moon Memorial Day (Winter).

Sovereign: Duke Aquess de Cavalier

The Brindleton District Order annual gala dinner takes place at Chateau Cavalier in Spring. Duke Aquess de Cavalier is sovereign until his son is crowned this Winter.

The Gloom Barony covers Upperton, Willow Field, Muggerdale and Evergreen Harbor.

House von Kaching

Past Winter Lord Edward got engaged to Lady Merielle de Cavalier, and wedding date has been set to Summer next year. Lord's fiancée is still studying at University.

In Fall Baron Bud of Gloom will attend the 100 years anniversary of University of Britechester. Baron Bud is also remote Baron of Gibbs, which is a low nobility peerage that makes him a natural guest at the anniversary. Lord Edward will attend the New Dimension Day, which this year is celebrated for the 125th time.

Baron Bud had originally planned to step back this year, meaning Lord Edward's investiture would take place this Winter. But, the old rule asking for only one high nobility sovereign investiture per region per year will delay the event with one year. This year the dukedom de Cavalier celebrates an investiture. By limiting the number of changes, stability of the region is gained.

Sovereign: Baron Bud of Gloom

Gloom District Order will host its annual gala dinner at Umbrage Manor in Spring.

Oasis Springs' only high nobility peerage is the Verde Barony, covering Verde, Dusty Turf and Nookstone. StrangeVille is administrated by Oasis Springs, but is not a part of the barony.

This year Oasis Springs is the main host of the annual region wide Farmers' Festival. Each year the districts focus on their local main crops and flora, by decorating and eating more of their local signature crops. Lemon is Oasis Spring's signature crop, and this year's 2 days festival takes place in Fall.

House of Saxor (OS)
Lady Vitorina Cordenza (1)

This Fall will get busy for Baron Auphor and Baroness Morgan. They will both get involved with the Farmer's Festival in Fall. This year it's the 20th time the festival is arranged, and Oasis Springs is main host.

It's also announced that Duke and Duchess of Meadows will pay an official visit to Oasis Springs during the Farmers' Festival. Baron Auphor is the father of Duke Victus, and the visitors will stay at Yuma Height.

Sovereign: Baron Auphor of Verde.

The Verde District Order annual gala dinner that takes place in Fall at Yuma Height Palace.

The high nobility peerage, Crest Barony, expired some time ago. Currently House of Dipperwell is the highest ranked family, as they hold the Priest of Church of Similius, which ranked as high nobility barony. The Priest title is no real peerage though, and includes neither Old Crest, Crestville nor Rivercrest. Also the old Crest District Order expired long ago.

House of Dipperwell

Priest Antonius Dipperwell works ar the Church of Similius, located in Gloomville. He can not choose not to attend any event. This year will be rather ordinary, except for Investiture Day in Winter, which sees the coronation of both the Duke de Cavalier and Baron of Gloom.

Outside Region 12

Region 12 covers San Myshuno (incl. Magnolia Promenade), Gloomville (incl. Evergreen Harbor), Oasis Springs (incl. StrangerVille), Newcrest and Brindleton Bay. Here are a few more districts:

Windenburg district covers the hoods Oldtown, Lykke (Harbor & Isle) and Dresden. The only high nobility peerage is the Windenburg dukedom, covering the entire district. This district is administrated by Region 28.

This Spring it's 125 years anniversary for the Blizzard Night at Ancient Ruins, an historical tragic event still important to most locals. Bring a Christmasrose flower!

House von Heimlich

Duke Merlin will attend the Blizzard Night at Ancient Ruins in Spring. This is the first time he attends any event at the old ruins, where his noble ancestors resided up til the Blizzard Night 125 years ago.

Sovereign: Duke Merlin von Windenburg

In Winter the Windenburg District Order annual gala dinner will be arranged at the renovated Von Windenburg Estate.

Rossie district's high nobility is the Dukedom of Rossie, covering Rossie, Gibbs Hill, Britechester, Foxbury and Forgotten Hollow. This district is administrated by Region 11.

House of Ross
Lord Rainert (24) | Lord Robert (15) | Lord Julius (12) | Lord Magnor (6)

In Summer Lord Robert turns 15, which is a major day for the House of Ross. Robert is the 2nd of 4 sons, and because his older brother, Rainert, is set to get the Myshuno Barony, this far no son was given the courtesy title Baron of Rossie, a title that is given to the child who will become the next Sovereign no later than on the 15th birthday. Technically Lord Rainert is still first in line of successors to the dukedom, but it was agreed that when day will come, he will pass the dukedom to his brother Robert. Rainert may of course change his mind, but no matter who will get the dukedom, it probably won't happen in several decades. Robert getting the Baron title on his 15th birthday seals the expectation of him as the future Duke.

Duke Jarret will attend the 100th anniversary of University of Britechester in Fall, to which he was the Patron since Year 212.

In Winter there will be a small event celebrating at Rossie Palace that it's 150 years since the coronation of Duke Clemet Augustin Ross. He was the 3rd Duke of Rossie and died exactly 100 years ago.

Sovereign: Duke Jarret of Rossie

The annual Rossie District Order gala dinner takes place as usual at Rossie Palace in Fall.
