Welcome! :) On this blog you will find stories, how i play and videos created with The Sims 4, but also a few projects from older game versions can be found in the Archive. The old TS3 stories have their own blogs. Most long going stories have a main page with index of updates.

Check out Simmerville's Youtube channel!

I'm no longer on Tumblr! I refused to give all their 3rd parties unlimited access to my computer. Link still works, but no updates.

Sulani Scientists

(Sulani, Year 226) While I'm still preparing a long article giving my take on the Sulani backstory, I want to share a bit from way Region 12's residents will benefit from a stay in Sulani. The place will naturally mainly attract sun seekers, but there is also many reasons for Scientists to visit this small and exotic community.

St. Taz is well known way beyond Sulani. The volcano stayed dormant for more than hundred years, but recently the activity has increased. The eruptions are yet limited, but the mighty impression makes it easier to understand how the volcano could be the God of the ancient community - and still is. Many of the rituals performed for tourists are based on the sacred respect for Taz.

Well, let's move on to the Caldera Camp.

This lot is owned by Sulani Mining Company, Inc., they also own the numerous mines surrounding the volcano. Caldera Camp was originally where the first Miners slept between their long and dirty job hours, but lately the place is more used by geologists than workers. Ten years ago the old building was even renovated, and is today a popular stop for Scientists from all over SimNation. The mining company still operates the facilities, but guests are welcome to assist or simply to build their skills.

Visitors are mostly Geologists, but also other science branches are represented as Sulani can offer so much. The nature, the coral reefs, folklore - and weather, just to mention some.

The lot is a generic community lot that can not be rented, but it is possible to drop by for one or more days without really switching household address technically. The Jupiter family stopped just for one day, but I had them rent a beach lot just to add to their travel budget.

The glass door seen in the background leads to the bedrooms wing with the total capacity of 6 beds. The Jupiter family counts parents Caspar and Agathe, and their 3 teenagers Zaviar, Oleck and Bianca. Zaviar is into Science like his father, and the other three spent most of the time on the beach.

Caspar Jupiter is a Meteorologist, and he finds Sulani very interesting due to the possible symbiotic between the volcano and the rich nature - in the greater picture this might even affect the weather, or perhaps weather affects Sulani?

Caspar is normally not very busy with green environment, but he did some cleaning during his research walk. He heard the mining company caused pollution in the past, and he know the major company owner Wixx also controls half of Sulani, which might explain why the locals don't react?

Caspar instinctively realizes that something is not right, but not knowing the locals there is not enough time to ask around.

The camp offers limited kitchen facilities, but it was all satisfying. Next time Caspar visits it might be just him and Zaviar, and they might eat breakfast with other scientists. That would be quite inspiring!

Agathe, Bianca and Oleck enjoyed the beach nearby. There was a bit of slimy algae in the waters, so they had to watch their movements a bit.

Bianca and Oleck are not best friends, but this trip gave them both a strong sentiment which might help them getting along. Oleck is the black sheep of this family, they have already caught him stealing many times.

A one day stop in Sulani is a bit quick, but they even managed to squeeze in a trip to Francine Bazars where they had some local Cava. Such a pity teens can't drink it... I don't really see why, but I guess there might be some effect if you consume many cups.

Agathe bought some souvenirs, some nectar and then they returned to Caldera Camp to pack. Their flight back to Newcrest leaves very early in the morning - sigh.

These days, with the Island Living freshly installed, every other household gets a quick vacation just to "check the waters", literally. That's why they can't stay for as long as they like...
