Welcome! :) On this blog you will find stories, how i play and videos created with The Sims 4, but also a few projects from older game versions can be found in the Archive. The old TS3 stories have their own blogs. Most long going stories have a main page with index of updates.

Check out Simmerville's Youtube channel!

I'm no longer on Tumblr! I refused to give all their 3rd parties unlimited access to my computer. Link still works, but no updates.

Sulani: Francine Bazar

(Sulani Year 225) Before I introduce you to my take on Sulani's backstory, I want to share some pictures of a new community lot. The lot comes with too much CC to be uploaded, but the concept is very simple and - if you like it - should not take long to rebuild in your own way.

Francine Bazar could work with many lot categories, but I have it as Retail. I wanted a way for vacationers (and locals) to buy stuff, including a few things not typical for Sulani.

The bazar is nothing new, and even further back it was just a herbs garden founded by Francine Ville (pictured). Nobody knows for sure how or when she came to Sulani. Her secret past as a Witch and Herbalist was never spoken of, neither the fact that she left a Mandrake to take over her old life in Glimmerbrook (based on info from a bookshelf description). She probably arrived Sulani around Year 160 (that's 65 years ago).

Shortly she sold herbs for a living, and her business rapidly grew into a broader assortment. Francine married the widowed founder of today's richest Sulani family, Wixx, and although she is long gone, her descendants still run the Francine Bazar.

Today the bazar sells clothing, souvenirs, newspapers, postcards, books, nectar, and some grocery/herbs/flowers. It is a popular hang-out among tourists as well as the locals. The café is served by the locals though, they brew coffee and might bring something they baked at home. By placing the group serving in the bakery counter, it is available to future guests without going spoiled quickly. So, the bazar's popularity might also be to blame on volunteers, and not the Wixx family alone.

There are two open rooms for trades, and up through the decades they were used for various purposes including a bar, a gaming room and fish market. Today the left one focus on beach clothing and souvenirs, while the right side room offers household items such as vegetables, cleaning supplies, grocery (flour and sugar) and nectar.

The left store is as chaotic as tourist shops often are; offering a weird mix of goods. Mostly beach supplies and souvenirs, but also toys, books and a few decoration items that tourists like to bring home.

The right side store is normally less crowded as it has less on offer to tourists. The nectar is popular, though, the bottle can be brought home or to the beach for consume (icemum's nectar maker mod).

In the back of the lot there is only a tiny bit left from Francine's original garden. Local Keala Hoapili enjoys coming here to relax. Francine was her stepmother, which I will explore more in a soon to come article.

This lot also has an interesting cellar, extremely important to the locals. I will show it shortly :)
