Welcome! :) On this blog you will find stories, how i play and videos created with The Sims 4, but also a few projects from older game versions can be found in the Archive. The old TS3 stories have their own blogs. Most long going stories have a main page with index of updates.

Check out Simmerville's Youtube channel!

I'm no longer on Tumblr! I refused to give all their 3rd parties unlimited access to my computer. Link still works, but no updates.

The Political Parties

(Year 226) In my Region 12 (and beyond) there is a quite detailed political system with a long history and with lots of focus during the 5 years election. There are 3 parties, and each party "owns" their share of the Neighborhood Action Plans (NAP) and has also a Core Group counting up to 8 dedicated Politicians.

I don't play the party organizations in detail, like I don't even know who is their leader. But the Core Group might have formal meetings if I feel like it. Normally I don't. Each party has a logo that is accessible as wall decor/mostly used for the corkboard (I wish we could have exchangeable jacket buttons). Politicians representing their party might wear a ribbon (blue, red or green). Each party also publicize a new postcard every 5th year or so, intended for the office wall of their Politicians and the general supporters. Other than this, I know when each party was founded, and when they will celebrate a jubilee.

I've shared info on the 5 years elections before, but in short residents vote on NAP, and later they vote on the Politicians. Each party sets up the candidates they want to promote, normally found in the Core Group, but often some less known Politicians, too. Each party might restrict itself to hoods where they actually has a strong possibility to win - they might be strong in certain districts and hoods, while they are hardly seen in others.

The party that wins most NAPs in a district, will pick one of their NAPs to be that district's Dominating NAP, which will actually be the main political focus for the entire district for the upcoming 5 years.

Let's learn a bit more about the RIGHT, LEFT and MIDDLE party!

The RIGHT Party

This is the oldest party, founded in Year 3 (wow, that's 223 years ago!), and also the largest fraction since many generations. When NAPs were introduced during the 190's, the RIGHT Party had the majority of the Dominating NAPs.

This party used to be strictly tied to the aristocracy. The high nobility had lots of power and privileges, and they all benefited from an economy that supported the owners to land and businesses, while workers were kept on the lower levels. This has changed a bit, though. The RIGHT Party still supports businesses and to some extent also those building a fortune, but today the possibilities are more equal to all, regardless of heritage. There no longer exists a law preventing anyone from climbing the community ladders.

Today the RIGHT Party has 6 active NAPs, and they have the dominating NAP in San Myshuno and Gloomville. Juiced Community is by far their most popular NAP, followed by Clean Energy Production and Tech Support. which basically serves Scientists, Programmers, Civil designers, Tech Gurus and Astronauts. This party is among the biggest supporters of the Foxbury Institute (University), as well as Landgraab Institute (high school). Even the Geekcon Festival gains support from the RIGHT Party.

The party has a Core Group counting 8 Politicians, including 3 that are on Region 12's Council; Mayor Charloman Au. C. Dougham (Newcrest), Councilor Edvin Phlum (San Myshuno) and Councilor Charlotta Mu. Crumpleton (Gloomville). You can see the RIGHT Party Core Group listed here.

The LEFT Party

Founded by factory Workers in San Myshuno back in Year 101, this party caused major changes to our community. Much of their early actions lead up to the Great Revolution in Year 120. The revolutionists claimed the nobility to lose their privileges, which they did. The royal house de Froux expired, and with no King the old Royal Chamber was replaced with today's regional councils. This was needed to balance powers, involving workers through the LEFT Party as well as residents through the new Hood Contact elections.

The LEFT Party has 6 active NAPs, with Water Conservation being the most popular. It's the dominating NAP for districts Oasis Springs and Newcrest, but in addition it was voted in 6 separate hoods. Also Power Conservation and Back to the old days are currently quite strong.

This party is among the top supporters of Britechester University. Also the Spice Festival at Spice Market in San Myshuno gain important support from the LEFT Party.

The Core Group counts 8 Politicians, including Councilor Josue E. Rosewood (Oasis Springs), Councilor Fanny Silverbone (Brindleton Bay), Hood Contact Anaya Jang (San Myshuno) and Siobhan Fyres (San Myshuno) being the best known. The Region 12 LEFT Party Core Group is listed here.

The MIDDLE Party

Founded in Year 128 this political party is the youngest, but after 98 years it is not as new as many tend to assume (oh, big jubilee coming up in 2 years!). It was simply the result of the new regional councils, where farmers worried they would be ignored by both the aristocracy and the workers. A third party also made the elections more accurate.

Today the MIDDLE party is often associated with the ECO trend, and officially that might be their main focus, too - but they are basically concerned with anything from nature and environment to farmers and food, arts and family life. Okay, they are at the green side of the table.

They are most popular in Brindleton Bay but also have many followers in Evergreen Harbor, Rossie and Windenburg. Their top 3 NAPs are Eco-friendly appliances, Promote Creative Arts and Green Gardening. Some say that spreading their voters on 9 different NAPs, the MIDDLE Party is a mistake, as it will prevent them from gaining political power.

This party is among the bigger supporters of the Fun Factory and the Showbiz Academy (high school). They also support the Flea Market at Spice Market and the Humor and Hijinks Festival at Arts Quarter in San Myshuno.

The Core Group is smaller, reflecting their position. It includes Gunther M. Crumpleton (Gloomville), Miranda Mox (Brindleton Bay), Antoinette Morck (San Myshuno) and Actor Chaos Kessler (San Myshuno). The MIDDLE Party Core Group members from Region 12 are listed here.

The GREEN LIPZ organization (those rebel youngsters wearing green lipstick) is generously supported by the MIDDLE Party.
