Gallery Ex-Po: One step up!

(Year 229) Decades ago Rose W. von Kaching, Baroness of Gloom, opened Gallery Ex-Po at Crestville in Newcrest. It sold a few classical paintings, but was even  more known for its show rooms where home based artists and crafters could exhibit their works. The exhibitors have changed over time, spanning from woodworks to knitted rugs, although the main focus was paintings and photos.

Five years ago the gallery was certified Art Broker and the building was slightly adjusted to meet a new community segment. Last week Baroness Rose of Gloom celebrated the first five years as an important art broker, still serving the community at large but not the least with collectors and a higher society as target.

Prominent guests mainly representing the owners attended the event that took place at Gallery Ex-Po's old build at Crestville. The group included Baron Bud of Gloom representing main owner Ching, Inc., Anaya Jang, Lord Vincent Croismare fom Aarbyville, and the local Nancy D. Roxenfox.

There were rumors that this fine gallery was to move into the city of San Myshuno, but no changes were decided yet. Now that the gallery is a stock company, the baroness is no longer having the final word, although the main owner is her husband Baron Bud of Gloom's family company, Ching, Inc., and the baroness herself holds 20% of the company stocks.

The old show rooms are mostly gone. The main room is dedicated paintings with a podium for furniture heirlooms, mostly old and valuable with a long history. In a smaller room there are locally crafted paintings, mostly works by the baroness herself. The collection of heirlooms varies over time, and because there is not enough room to display it all, the basement storage room is used. This means that sold items will be replaced quickly. The complete catalog is available on line.

One of the guests, famous artist Vince Remeréz, held a short speech, recalling how important Gallery Ex-Po was for his own career. Not only did he sell many works here, but he also gave painting classes before he became a central person at Kasbah Gallery in San Myshuno. The now elderly Remeréz attended with his partner, Actress Penny Pizzazz. The couple has 2 children, but is still hot with the glossy press.

The event was mostly a celebration, but it was also an early goodbye from the baroness. Her replacement has not yet been found, but turning 80 next year and currently busy switching estates privately, she has decided to step back in the near future. As we know her, she will throw a bigger party for the final announcement!

Technically, Gallery Ex-Po operates as a broker for any heirloom items (except jewelry and tableware) in search of a new owner. The gallery will normally buy the item from the seller and later find a buyer. This way the seller will raise  funds immediately, and the buyer will only need to look one place. The collection counts only unique items that are to be listed with the Heirlooms section of the community pages. Whenever there is a new expansion all new items of a certain historical and financial value will be introduced via Gallery Ex-Po as they get added to the Heirloom catalog.
