Old Salt House Scandal

(Year 229) It's not easy running a busy retail shopping mall in the city, especially not if the current Neighborhood Action Plans (N.A.P.s) are less suitable for your business and your costumers. Thankfully, His Royal Majesty King Tarriot of Mazaloom does pay attention to businesses no matter what hood they are in.

Last week he unannounced stopped by Old Salt House Shopping Mall to buy some flowers. Customers paused their shopping in awe, and more people arrived from the square near by. The Monarch signed autographs and posed for pictures, but without asking to talk with the owner.

- It all seemed like some random event, and although I never got to talk with our King, I'm very grateful for the publicity his quick visit caused, says owner, Claudia Tangerin Lady Shine. She assures that her Lady Shine title is not really making her part of the kingdom's bigger peerage.

- It's just the title, it looks good on my visit card and might open some doors, but comes with no privileges. The real nobility doesn't even see me as a noble person.

Other than the unexpected royal guest, everything at the mall seemed normal. Such as Agnes Crumplebottom trying on a new fancy outfit, but then deciding not to purchase it. 

While Claudia Tangerin served a mysterious customer upstairs at the Vacation Gear shop ran by Way To Go Travels, a scandal took place downstairs! A customer, who  obviously didn't recognize King Tarriot, attacked the Monarch!

Claudia Tangerin Lady Shine, has on several occasions stated that the city should not allow a N.A.P. like "Roughhousing Encouraged". It is currently the RIGHT party that has the dominant N.A.P. "Juiced Community" in San Myshuno, but at Spice Market also LEFT party's "Roughhousing Encouraged" is valid,. It won in the Year 220 election and won't be rotated until Year 235.

Because of this, running a store or restaurant at Spice Market is challenging. Even being a royal is dangerous! "Roughhousing Encouraged" is actually a banned N.A.P., but it is allowed for at harbor quarters and poor or trashy hoods.

- I beg that King Tarriot was not wounded. I will send a formal excuse to Chateau Peak right away!
