HRH Crown Princess Emireza Knighted

(Year 229) On Investiture Day - 1st day of Winter, anyone worthy of their investiture will attend the big Court event at the royal palace. This year was indeed special, as the future queen got knighted for the Order of the Royal Chamber!

The annual Court event will typically fill just half the seats in the Throne room, but this year the ceremony got some extra attention. There were several coronations, as the King earlier in the year created new peerages to replace a few of the old peerages that were poorly designed generations ago, a process that will not be completed until next year.

Last on the program was what everyone waited for. Only once per generation a future monarch will be knighted for the Royal Chamber. In the past it could not happen before the age of 20, but because there are some lifestage re-definations coming up shortly, His Royal Majesty King Tarriot decided to knight his eldest child this year. HRH Crown Princess Emireza is currently 18.

Normally a new Royal Chamber member will not receive the blue sash until after the ceremony, but because Emireza is the future Queen there is an exception from the rule. Being the royal main heir, one day she will rule the Royal Chamber as well as the large peerage of Mazaloom.

Her investiture is also seen as her official introduction to the community, and she can finally attend the chamber's gala dinner in the evening - it is actually her very first! As their membership is life long, most knights of the Royal Chamber are quite old. Bringing their spouses to the dinner probably turned the evening into a quite enjoyable event for the Crown Princess, anyway. Everyone who attended surely wanted a word with this young lady, but belonging to the very top level of aristocracy, they all know their place.

Baron Vintec of Prome (74), Baroness Elvira de Sür-Blyth (45), and Baron Dominic von Haunt (80).

The 3 Peers to be introduced were all there to formalize the upgrade of their old peerages. Dominic Fyres earned the new title Baron von Haunt (replacing Lord von Haunt), but he still uses his Lord of Deadgrass title, which ranks higher and will be adjusted next year. Vintec Rab-Saxor got the title Baron of Prome (replacing Lord of Prome), and finally Lady Elvira de Sür-Blyth earned the title Baroness de Blyth (replacing her old title Lady de Sür-Blyth). None of them has a crown, so it was not really a true coronation, but more like a formal introduction of the new peers. This is traditionally done on Investiture Day, but not every year will see a new Peerage or Successor.

Between the Investiture and the gala dinner, the royal family found time to have their family photo taken. It's been a while since they shared a group photo, and because the Princes and of course the Crown Princess, are all teenagers by now, the photo already trended on Social Bunny.

From left: Prince Cecil (14), Prince Bazillimus (16), King Tarriot (61),
Crown Princess Emireza (18), Queen Venezia (53) and Prince Marcuz (14)

Crown Princess Emireza looked perfect in a long pink gown, posing between her proud parents, HRH King Tarriot and HRH Queen Venezia. None of her 3 brothers are knights of the Royal Chamber and they did not attend the gala dinner, but dressed up for the photo session. Prince Bazillimus is a student at Summerfield High in Windenburg, just like the Crown Princess. Prince Cecil seems to join them next year, while Prince Marcuz will not attend any boarding school. It's said the children should spread even more, of security reasons.

The Crown Princess received House of Luxe-Hamper's family order 3 years ago. Now she only lacks a good old tiara, but because no woman can carry a tiara until their wedding day she will need to wait a few more years for that. Meanwhile, one can speculate whether the King and Queen have introduced their daughter to some potential future husbands, already. Who might he be? One thing is for sure - a Crown Princess ought to marry wisely!
