The Cats
In the Snorthian tradition cats are highly respected creatures, especially the white cats is as good as holy.
The Ito Family is protector of the Cat, they breed cats for others to have. There exist no purebred species, and in general the dominant fur color indicates a cat's personality.
Brown is said to be the original color of Snorthian cats, but white or black is the highest ranked species. Pure white (Shiro Neko) with blue or golden eyes is seen as elegant, smart and clever. However, they might also be nervous and cautious. Pure black (Kuro Neko, limited other colors accepted) is known as calm and friendly, and affectionate.
Cats with stripe patterns are called Tora (Tiger). Kiji Tora has brown base with black stripes. They are cautious, but become friendly when trust is established. Kiji Tora is the most curious and inquisitive of all cats. Saba Tora has grey base with black stripes, and is more quiet and mild than Kiji Tora. Cha Tora har bright brown base with reddish stripes, and they are spoiled cats who adore the owner. Buchi Neko has spots, either white and black or white and brown. Patterns vary. If white dominates then the cat is smart and cautious, if black dominates it might be more calm and friendly.
Estate
Naoki Ito's father, previous head of this family, was gifted land by his father, Emperor Ludvort. He owned the full Wakaba hood, as well as two lots up in the mountain. Some Wakaba loand was later sold off, and today the Ito Family owns only the decently sized 2-4-2 Wakabamori, where they reside.
In addition they still own the two mountain lots, where of one is a restaurant serving traditional food. The other lot is about to be sold, but no final transaction has been made yet.
Current household
The Ito Family is often seen in the snowy mountain doing misc Winter sports. They also have business interests up there, being initiating the sports establishments that made Mt. Komorebi so popular with tourists, but also made Ito less poopular with the Imperial family.
Naoki Ito, Princi-ni (48) is 3rd in line to the Imperial throne. He is family focused and quite successful in life. But he is also rather mean and a bit greedy. He is in the Business career bredding those cats, but he is not a member of the Imperial Council.
His wife, Megumi (52) hails from the Rashu Family, the 7th Protected Family of Komorebi that expired more than 100 years ago. She is very intellectual with a slightly old fashioned mindset, and like her husband she works in Business, administrating their restaurant up in the mountain. She is quite masculine and slightly introvert, building a life around physical possessions rather than people, but she hardly has to deal with the restaurant guests, leaving that to the employees.
Aged 29 she won a gold medal in a skiing contest, and she is still known for skiing nearly daily.
Nanami Ito (20) seems to pick up her father's business talent, but being a girl she will neiher bring on their family nor inherit the cat breeding business. She is slightly old fashioned, probably making it easier to accept those gender restrictions.
Kiyoshi Ito (18) seems to take after his mother. He loves the mountain and is into extreme sports, especially Snowboarding. He is not (yet) Materialistic, but he is obsessed with physical belongings. He is dating Kaori Nishidake, and he wants them to explore the world tiogether, hunting more extreme activities.
