Welcome! :) On this blog you will find stories, how i play and videos created with The Sims 4, but also a few projects from older game versions can be found in the Archive. The old TS3 stories have their own blogs. Most long going stories have a main page with index of updates.

New Management at Gallery Ex-Po

(Year 231, Spring) Baroness Rose of Gloom (81) has finally announced her retirement. Her son, The Honorable Edward Bertophelus von Kaching (50) takes over the exclusive art and heirloom business, Gallery Ex-Po.

Edward von Kaching is eager to get started!

Baroness Rose has been dedicated to her little Newcrest business ever since her husband, the Baron of Gloom, gifted it to her shortly after their family moved to Gloomville. Back then Baron Bud had claimed the Gloom barony and the little family moved from SimCity to Gloomville because this peerage can not be held remotely. Their son Edward was not even born back then. His older sister is now married to one of the wealthiest men of the kingdom, Malcolm Landgraab.

Edward is 1st in line to the barony, and because House von Kaching has been assigned Photography as their focus skill, it makes sense that he also runs the Ex-Po Gallery. The switch will take place this Spring. It has already been rumored that he will focus more on Photography than on painted art, which might include a slightly new direction business wise.

Gallery Ex-Po has grown to become the central organ for trades of art and valuable heirlooms.

The main focus of the gallery was adjusted quite recently, though, when the business was granted the exclusive right to deal with old heirlooms in support of the aristocracy and their many old possessions that occasionally do switch hands. The gallery is therefore committed to buy heirlooms that are to be sold before there is an actual buyer. As most items are worthy of more than §10,000 it might result in a quite valuable storage, and to survive as a business it will be essential to quickly find buyers. This is not a regular retail business, so the network is essential. Still, getting a commission fee from both the seller and buyer, in the long run the business will benefit from such an exclusive right.

Welcome on board, Edward von Kaching!
